شهدت جزيرة لوسون في الفلبين اليوم (الأحد) ضربتين طبيعيتين متزامنتين، حيث اجتاحت العاصفتان الاستوائيتان «فينغشين» و«راميل» مناطق واسعة، متسببتين في أضرار بشرية ومادية كبيرة.
وفي مقاطعة كويزون، فقدت عائلة مؤلفة من 5 أشخاص حياتها بعد أن سقطت شجرة ضخمة على منزلهم أثناء مرور العاصفة «فينغشين». ومن بين الضحايا طفلان يبلغان عامين و11 عاماً، فيما نجا فرد سادس من الأسرة. وأوضح المسؤولون أن المنزل كان مبنياً بمواد ضعيفة، ما ساعد على انهياره تحت ضغط الرياح العاتية.
وتتجه العاصفة «فينغشين» حالياً نحو بحر الصين الجنوبي بسرعة رياح تصل إلى 90 كيلومتراً في الساعة، مع توقعات باقترابها من السواحل الفيتنامية خلال الساعات القادمة. وأصدرت هيئة الأرصاد الجوية تحذيرات من خطر الفيضانات وانزلاقات التربة، خصوصاً في المناطق الساحلية والجبلية، ما دفع إلى إجلاء أكثر من 47 ألف شخص إلى مراكز إيواء مؤقتة كإجراء وقائي.
وفي الوقت نفسه، تسبب الإعصار «راميل» في فيضانات واسعة وأجبر أكثر من 22 ألف شخص على مغادرة منازلهم في مناطق كالابارزون وبيكول. وأدت الأمطار الغزيرة والرياح القوية إلى تعطيل حركة النقل البحري، بعد تضرر 39 ميناءً بحرياً، مع احتجاز آلاف المسافرين والبضائع. كما سجلت السلطات وفاة رجل في مدينة روكساس نتيجة ارتفاع منسوب المياه.
ورغم الأضرار الواسعة، لم تسجل السلطات حتى الآن أضراراً كبيرة في البنية التحتية أو القطاع الزراعي، لكنها تراقب الوضع عن كثب تحسباً لتدهور الطقس في الأيام القادمة.
يذكر أن الفلبين تتعرض سنوياً لنحو 20 إعصاراً وعاصفة بسبب موقعها الجغرافي بين المحيط الهادئ وبحر الصين الجنوبي، ما يجعلها واحدة من أكثر الدول عرضة للكوارث الطبيعية، إضافة إلى النشاط الزلزالي ووجود عدد كبير من البراكين النشطة.

In Quezon Province, a family of five lost their lives when a massive tree fell on their home during the passage of storm "Fengshen." Among the victims were two children aged two and eleven, while a sixth family member survived. Officials explained that the house was built with weak materials, which contributed to its collapse under the pressure of the strong winds.
Storm "Fengshen" is currently heading towards the South China Sea with wind speeds reaching 90 kilometers per hour, with forecasts predicting its approach to the Vietnamese coasts in the coming hours. The meteorological agency issued warnings about the risk of flooding and landslides, especially in coastal and mountainous areas, prompting the evacuation of more than 47,000 people to temporary shelters as a precautionary measure.
At the same time, typhoon "Ramil" caused widespread flooding and forced more than 22,000 people to leave their homes in areas such as Calabarzon and Bicol. Heavy rains and strong winds disrupted maritime transport, affecting 39 seaports, leaving thousands of travelers and goods stranded. Authorities also reported the death of a man in Roxas City due to rising water levels.
Despite the extensive damage, authorities have not yet reported significant damage to infrastructure or the agricultural sector, but they are closely monitoring the situation in anticipation of worsening weather in the coming days.
It is worth noting that the Philippines experiences about 20 typhoons and storms annually due to its geographical location between the Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea, making it one of the most disaster-prone countries, in addition to seismic activity and the presence of a large number of active volcanoes.
