ارتفعت حصيلة انهيار مدرسة مطلع الأسبوع في إندونيسيا إلى 45 قتيلاً، على ما أفاد مسؤول الأحد، مع مواصلة انتشال جثث من تحت الأنقاض.
وانهار جزء من المدرسة الداخلية المتعددة الطبقات في جزيرة جاوة الاثنين أثناء تجمع الطلاب لأداء صلاة العصر.
وأفاد مدير العمليات في الوكالة الوطنية لإدارة الكوارث يودهي برامانتيو بانتشال (19) جثة إضافية.
وقال أمام الصحفيين: «بناءً على حساباتنا، وصل العدد الإجمالي للضحايا الذين أجليناهم إلى 149»، موضحاً أن من بينهم 45 قتيلاً.
وكانت حصيلة سابقة أوردها برامانتيو أفادت بمقتل 37 شخصاً، وشدد على أن فرق الإنقاذ تعمل على مدار الساعة للعثور على المفقودين كلهم في انهيار المدرسة الإسلامية.
The death toll from the school collapse earlier this week in Indonesia has risen to 45, an official reported on Sunday, as efforts continue to recover bodies from under the rubble.
A part of the multi-story boarding school in Java collapsed on Monday while students were gathered for the afternoon prayer.
The director of operations at the National Disaster Management Agency, Yudhi Pramanto, reported the recovery of (19) additional bodies.
He told reporters, "Based on our calculations, the total number of victims we have evacuated has reached 149," explaining that among them are 45 fatalities.
A previous toll reported by Pramanto indicated that 37 people had died, and he emphasized that rescue teams are working around the clock to find all the missing individuals in the collapse of the Islamic school.
