اضطرت طائرة ركاب متجهة من المملكة المتحدة إلى مصر إلى الهبوط اضطرارياً في مطار هيراكليون بجزيرة كريت اليونانية، بعد أن تسببت امرأة بريطانية تبلغ من العمر 38 عاماً في فوضى على متن الطائرة، في حادثة أثارت استياء الركاب وطاقم الطائرة على حد سواء.
وكانت المرأة، التي تسافر برفقة زوجها وطفلها الصغير، في حالة «سكر شديد»، ما دفعها إلى تجاهل تعليمات الطاقم وتبني سلوك عدواني وصف بأنه «خارج عن السيطرة» من قبل ركاب آخرين.
ووفقاً لصحيفة «ديلي ميل» البريطانية، بدأت المشكلة عندما رفضت المرأة الامتثال لتعليمات طاقم الطائرة، ما استدعى تدخل القبطان الذي قرر تحويل مسار الرحلة لأسباب أمنية، وعند هبوط الطائرة في كريت، كانت الشرطة المحلية في انتظار المرأة، حيث تم القبض عليها فور فتح أبواب الطائرة.
هذه الحادثة ليست الأولى من نوعها، حيث أصبحت حالات الركاب المخمورين الذين يتسببون في اضطرابات على متن الطائرات شائعة بشكل متزايد، وفي وقت سابق من هذا الأسبوع، أُجبرت رحلة تابعة لشركة «رايان إير» من لندن إلى أليكانتي على الهبوط في تولوز بفرنسا بعد أن حاول راكب بريطاني يُدعى دانيال آشلي-لوز فتح مخرج طوارئ خلال حفل توديع عزوبية.
