في إنجاز طبي غير مسبوق، نجح فريق طبي بقسم جراحة الأطفال في مستشفى مبرة مصر القديمة، التابع للمؤسسة العلاجية بمحافظة القاهرة في مصر، في إجراء أول عملية جراحية بالمنظار الصدري لإصلاح رتق المريء (Thoracoscopic Esophageal Atresia Repair) لطفل رضيع يبلغ وزنه 2.5 كيلوغرام.
العملية، التي تعد الأولى من نوعها، أُجريت باستخدام أحدث تقنيات المناظير، مما ساهم في تقليل التدخل الجراحي، وتسريع عملية الشفاء، وتقليل الألم للرضيع.
وبحسب بيان صادر عن وزارة الصحة والسكان المصرية، اليوم (الأحد)، تمت العملية تحت إشراف فريق طبي متكامل، ووحدة العناية المركزة لحديثي الولادة (NICU)، التي قدمت الرعاية اللازمة للطفل بعد الجراحة، وبفضل التنسيق العالي بين هذه الفرق، خرج الطفل من المستشفى بصحة جيدة، وهو يتمتع الآن بالقدرة على التغذية الكاملة بعد استقرار حالته الصحية وتحسن وظائفه الحيوية.
وأضاف بيان الوزارة أن هذا الإنجاز يأتي بالتزامن مع افتتاح قسم جراحة الأطفال بالمستشفى، مما يعكس التزام المؤسسة العلاجية بتقديم خدمات طبية متطورة تلبي حاجات الأطفال وحديثي الولادة.
وأشادت وزارة الصحة بكفاءة الفريق الطبي، مؤكدة أن هذا النجاح يبرز الإمكانات المتقدمة للكوادر الطبية المصرية، ويعكس جهود الدولة المستمرة لتطوير منظومة الرعاية الصحية.
وأوضح البيان أن العملية استلزمت دقة عالية نظراً لصغر سن الرضيع وحساسية حالته، إذ يُعد رتق المريء من العيوب الخلقية النادرة التي تتطلب تدخلاً جراحياً متخصصاً.
وأكدت الوزارة أن تجهيز المستشفى بأحدث المناظير الطبية والتقنيات الحديثة ساهم في تحقيق هذا الإنجاز، مشيرة إلى أن هذا النجاح يمثل خطوة جديدة نحو تعزيز الخدمات الطبية المقدمة للأطفال في المستشفيات الحكومية.
In an unprecedented medical achievement, a medical team in the pediatric surgery department at Al-Mabra Hospital in Egypt's Old Cairo, affiliated with the healthcare institution in Cairo Governorate, successfully performed the first thoracoscopic surgery to repair esophageal atresia (Thoracoscopic Esophageal Atresia Repair) on an infant weighing 2.5 kilograms.
The operation, which is the first of its kind, was conducted using the latest endoscopic techniques, contributing to reduced surgical intervention, accelerated healing, and decreased pain for the infant.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population today (Sunday), the operation was performed under the supervision of a comprehensive medical team, along with the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which provided the necessary care for the child post-surgery. Thanks to the high coordination among these teams, the child was discharged from the hospital in good health and is now able to fully feed after his health condition stabilized and his vital functions improved.
The ministry's statement added that this achievement coincides with the opening of the pediatric surgery department at the hospital, reflecting the healthcare institution's commitment to providing advanced medical services that meet the needs of children and newborns.
The Ministry of Health praised the efficiency of the medical team, affirming that this success highlights the advanced capabilities of Egyptian medical staff and reflects the state's ongoing efforts to develop the healthcare system.
The statement clarified that the operation required high precision due to the infant's young age and the sensitivity of his condition, as esophageal atresia is one of the rare congenital defects that necessitate specialized surgical intervention.
