أجرى رئيس أركان القوات البحرية الملكية بالمملكة العربية السعودية الفريق الركن بحرى محمد بن عبدالرحمن الغريبى، زيارة رسمية لقيادة القوات البحرية المصرية بالإسكندرية، التقى فيها قائد القوات البحرية المصرية اللواء بحري محمود عادل فوزى.
وتناول اللقاء مناقشة أوجه تعزيز علاقات التعاون العسكري بين القوات البحرية المصرية والقوات البحرية الملكية السعودية، كما تم عقد جلسة مباحثات مشتركة لبحث سبل نقل وتبادل الخبرات بين الجانبين، وتوقيع بروتوكول تعاون لدعم جهود الأمن البحري.
وفى سياق متصل قام قائد القوات البحرية المصرية ورئيس أركان القوات البحرية الملكية بزيارة إلى شركة ترسانة الإسكندرية، والمرور على عدد من الوحدات البحرية للتعرف على أحدث منظومات التسليح التي شهدتها القوات البحرية في الآونة الأخيرة، كما تمّت زيارة الكلية البحرية لمتابعة كيفية الإعداد والتأهيل للطلبة وفقاً لأحدث النظم التعليمية.
وأعلن المتحدث العسكري للقوات المسلحة المصرية أن هذا اللقاء يأتي في حرص القوات المسلحة المصرية على تعزيز أواصر التعاون العسكري مع الدول الشقيقة والصديقة.
وتعتبر القوات البحرية المصرية والسعودية من أقوى الأساطيل البحرية في المنطقة، إذ تلعب دورًا حيويًا في حماية الممرات المائية الاستراتيجية، مثل البحر الأحمر والخليج العربي، اللذين يعدان شرايين حيويين للتجارة العالمية والأمن الإقليمي.
وتتمتع القوات البحرية الملكية السعودية بقدرات متقدمة، إذ تضم أسطولين رئيسيين: الأسطول الشرقي في الخليج العربي، والأسطول الغربي في البحر الأحمر، وتشمل وحدات قتالية، دعماً لوجستيًا، طيرانًا بحريًا، ومشاة بحرية.
من جانبها، شهدت القوات البحرية المصرية تحديثًا كبيرًا في السنوات الأخيرة، مع إدخال منظومات تسليح متطورة، مثل الفرقاطات والغواصات، وتطوير ترسانة الإسكندرية لتصنيع وصيانة الوحدات البحرية.
The Chief of Naval Staff of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Ghareeb, conducted an official visit to the Egyptian Navy Command in Alexandria, where he met with the Commander of the Egyptian Navy, Rear Admiral Mahmoud Adel Fawzy.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance military cooperation between the Egyptian Navy and the Royal Saudi Navy. A joint discussion session was held to explore means of transferring and exchanging expertise between the two sides, and a cooperation protocol was signed to support maritime security efforts.
In a related context, the Commander of the Egyptian Navy and the Chief of Naval Staff of the Royal Navy visited the Alexandria Shipyard and toured several naval units to learn about the latest weapon systems that the naval forces have recently witnessed. They also visited the Naval Academy to monitor how students are prepared and trained according to the latest educational systems.
The spokesperson for the Egyptian Armed Forces announced that this meeting comes as part of the Egyptian Armed Forces' commitment to strengthening military cooperation ties with brotherly and friendly countries.
The Egyptian and Saudi navies are considered among the strongest naval fleets in the region, playing a vital role in protecting strategic waterways, such as the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf, which are vital arteries for global trade and regional security.
The Royal Saudi Navy possesses advanced capabilities, comprising two main fleets: the Eastern Fleet in the Arabian Gulf and the Western Fleet in the Red Sea, which include combat units, logistical support, naval aviation, and marine infantry.
For its part, the Egyptian Navy has witnessed significant modernization in recent years, with the introduction of advanced weapon systems, such as frigates and submarines, and the development of the Alexandria Shipyard for the manufacturing and maintenance of naval units.
