ضرب زلزال بلغت قوته 6 درجات على مقياس ريختر، اليوم، جنوب شرق أفغانستان.
وذكر المركز الألماني لأبحاث علوم الأرض أن زلزالا قوته ست درجات هز منطقة جنوب شرق أفغانستان اليوم.
وأضاف المركز أن الزلزال كان على عمق 10 كيلومترات.
ولم ترد على الفور أنباء عن وقوع خسائر بشرية أو مادية جراء الزلزال.
وتتعرض أفغانستان للزلازل بشكل متكرر، خصوصا في منطقة «هندو كوش» الواقعة قرب نقطة التقاء الصفيحتين التكتونيتين الأوراسية والهندية، وكانت سلسلة من الزلازل بقوة تصل إلى 6.3 درجة على مقياس ريختر قد ضربت إقليم هيرات في غرب أفغانستان خلال أكتوبر 2023.
A 6-magnitude earthquake struck today in southeastern Afghanistan.
The German Research Center for Geosciences reported that a magnitude six earthquake shook the southeastern region of Afghanistan today.
The center added that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
No immediate reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake have been received.
Afghanistan is frequently affected by earthquakes, especially in the "Hindu Kush" region, which is near the convergence point of the Eurasian and Indian tectonic plates. A series of earthquakes with magnitudes reaching 6.3 on the Richter scale hit the Herat province in western Afghanistan during October 2023.
