أُفرج، اليوم، عن الفاشينيستا الكويتية فاطمة المؤمن بعد انتهاء مدة محكوميتها البالغة ثلاث سنوات، في القضية المرورية التي شغلت الرأي العام منذ أغسطس 2023، وأسفرت عن وفاة شخصين وإصابة آخرين إثر تجاوزها الإشارة الحمراء وقيادتها بسرعة تفوق المعدل المسموح به.
وجاء الإفراج بعد تنفيذ الحكم الصادر بحقها، إذ كانت محكمة التمييز الكويتية قد ثبّتت في يوليو 2024 قرار محكمة الاستئناف القاضي بسجنها ثلاث سنوات مع الشغل والنفاذ، إضافة إلى سحب رخصة القيادة لمدة عام.
وبذلك تُنهي المؤمن آخر مراحل القضية التي مرت بمحطات قضائية متعددة، بدءًا من الحبس الاحتياطي ورفض طلبات إخلاء سبيلها، وصولًا إلى صدور الحكم النهائي وتنفيذه كاملًا.
وتعود تفاصيل الحادث إلى فجر 24 أغسطس 2023 عند تقاطع شارع السور مع طريق الملك فهد في الكويت، حيث اصطدمت مركبة المؤمن بسيارة أخرى بعد تجاوز الإشارة الحمراء، ما أدى إلى وفاة شخصين وإصابة اثنين آخرين، لتواجه لاحقًا عدة تهم؛ من بينها القتل الخطأ، تجاوز الإشارة الضوئية، والقيادة بسرعة زائدة.
وبعد خروجها من سجن النساء، تصدّر اسم فاطمة المؤمن منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، وسط تداول واسع لصورها السابقة وتفاصيل القضية، فيما لم يصدر عنها حتى الآن أي تعليق رسمي حول الإفراج أو خطوتها المقبلة.
Today, the Kuwaiti fashionista Fatima Al-Mu'min was released after serving her three-year sentence in the traffic case that captured public attention since August 2023, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to others after she ran a red light and drove at speeds exceeding the allowed limit.
The release came after the execution of the sentence against her, as the Kuwaiti Court of Cassation had upheld in July 2024 the Court of Appeal's decision to imprison her for three years with hard labor, in addition to revoking her driving license for one year.
Thus, Al-Mu'min concludes the final stages of the case, which went through multiple judicial phases, starting from pre-trial detention and the rejection of her bail requests, culminating in the issuance of the final judgment and its full execution.
The details of the incident date back to the early hours of August 24, 2023, at the intersection of Al-Sour Street and King Fahd Road in Kuwait, where Al-Mu'min's vehicle collided with another car after she ran a red light, leading to the deaths of two people and injuries to two others, facing several charges thereafter, including involuntary manslaughter, running a traffic signal, and speeding.
After her release from the women's prison, Fatima Al-Mu'min's name topped social media platforms, with widespread sharing of her previous photos and details of the case, while she has not yet issued any official comment regarding her release or her next steps.
