كشفت بيانات تتبع الرحلات الجوية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، هبوط طائرة نقل عسكرية تابعة للقوات الجوية الأمريكية من طراز بوينغ سي-17 إيه غلوب ماستر 3 (Boeing C-17A Globemaster III) في مطار فنوكوفو الدولي بالعاصمة الروسية موسكو، بعد إقلاعها من مطار ريغا الدولي في لاتفيا.
ووفق بيانات موقع «فلايت رادار 24»، أقلعت الطائرة، التي تحمل التسجيل 07-7181، من ريغا نحو الساعة 08:50 صباحاً بتوقيت موسكو، قبل أن تنقطع إشارتها بالقرب من مطار فنوكوفو نحو الساعة 10:04.
وأظهرت بيانات الرحلات السابقة للطائرة أنها وصلت إلى ريغا صباح يوم 24 أغسطس، بعدما مرت بقاعدة أندروز المشتركة في ولاية ميريلاند قرب العاصمة واشنطن، وهي إحدى أبرز القواعد المستخدمة في نقل كبار المسؤولين الأمريكيين.
ولم تتبين طبيعة مهمة الطائرة أو هوية الأشخاص أو الحمولة الموجودة على متنها، فيما نقلت وكالة رويترز عن المتحدث باسم الكرملين ديمتري بيسكوف قوله: إن الكرملين لا يملك معلومات بشأن الطائرة العسكرية الأمريكية التي هبطت في موسكو.
ويأتي هبوط الطائرة في وقت تشهد فيه الاتصالات الأمريكية - الروسية تحركات مرتبطة بالمساعي الدبلوماسية بشأن الحرب في أوكرانيا، إلا أنه لا توجد حتى الآن معلومات علنية تربط رحلة الطائرة بتلك الاتصالات.
ونقلت وكالة تاس الروسية، الأحد، عن مصدر أن الزيارة المرتقبة للمبعوثين الأمريكيين ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر إلى كييف وموسكو تأجلت، بعدما كانت تقارير سابقة تتحدث عن إمكانية إجرائها قبل نهاية أغسطس الجاري.
واستبعد المصدر أن تتم الزيارة قبل نهاية الشهر، مضيفاً أن ذلك يعني وجود أسباب لتأجيله، دون الكشف عن طبيعة تلك الأسباب.
Flight tracking data revealed today (Tuesday) the landing of a military transport aircraft belonging to the U.S. Air Force, a Boeing C-17A Globemaster III, at Vnukovo International Airport in the Russian capital, Moscow, after taking off from Riga International Airport in Latvia.
According to data from the "Flight Radar 24" website, the aircraft, which bears the registration 07-7181, took off from Riga around 08:50 AM Moscow time, before its signal was lost near Vnukovo Airport around 10:04.
Previous flight data for the aircraft showed that it arrived in Riga on the morning of August 24, after passing through Joint Base Andrews in Maryland near Washington, D.C., which is one of the main bases used for transporting senior U.S. officials.
The nature of the aircraft's mission, the identity of the individuals on board, or the cargo it carried remains unclear, while Reuters reported Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying that the Kremlin has no information regarding the U.S. military aircraft that landed in Moscow.
The landing of the aircraft comes at a time when U.S.-Russian communications are witnessing movements related to diplomatic efforts concerning the war in Ukraine; however, there is currently no public information linking the aircraft's flight to those communications.
Russian news agency TASS reported on Sunday that a source indicated the anticipated visit of U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Kyiv and Moscow has been postponed, after earlier reports suggested it could take place before the end of August.
The source ruled out the possibility of the visit occurring before the end of the month, adding that this implies there are reasons for the postponement, without disclosing the nature of those reasons.
