علق 23 شخصاً على ارتفاع شاهق فوق سطح الأرض لنحو ثلاث ساعات، إثر تعطل لعبة ترفيهية في أحد المعارض بمدينة هامبورغ شمالي ألمانيا، قبل أن يتمكنوا من النزول سالمين.
وأوضحت الشرطة أن اللعبة تعطلت في وقت متأخر من مساء (الثلاثاء) بسبب خلل فني، ما استدعى استنفار الشرطة وفرق الإطفاء للتعامل مع الموقف وتأمين العالقين، وسط محاولات لإعادة تشغيل اللعبة وتفادي إصابتهم بالذعر.
وذكرت صحيفة «بيلد» أن العالقين كانوا على ارتفاع يقارب 30 متراً فوق الأرض.
وبعد منتصف الليل بقليل، أعيد تشغيل اللعبة وتمكن جميع الركاب من النزول بأمان، دون الحاجة إلى تدخل فرق الإطفاء لإنقاذهم.
وتأتي الواقعة في معرض «زومر دوم» بمدينة هامبورغ، الذي يستمر حتى (الأحد)، ويقام هذا العام لمدة خمسة أسابيع للمرة الأولى، بعدما كان يستمر أربعة أسابيع في الأعوام السابقة.
23 people were stuck at a high altitude above the ground for about three hours, following a malfunction of an amusement ride at a fair in Hamburg, northern Germany, before they were able to descend safely.
The police explained that the ride malfunctioned late on (Tuesday) due to a technical fault, prompting the police and fire teams to respond to the situation and secure those trapped, amid attempts to restart the ride and prevent them from panicking.
The newspaper "Bild" reported that those trapped were at a height of about 30 meters above the ground.
Shortly after midnight, the ride was restarted and all passengers were able to descend safely, without the need for fire teams to rescue them.
This incident occurred at the "Sommer Dom" fair in Hamburg, which runs until (Sunday), and is being held for five weeks this year for the first time, after previously lasting four weeks in past years.
