في حادثة مروّعة هزّت ولاية ألاسكا الأمريكية، تعرّضت آريان فابريزيو كولتون (36 عاماً) وهي ممرضة وأم لثلاثة أطفال، لهجوم عنيف من دب بني قرب منزلها في مدينة كيناي، بينما كانت تستعد لممارسة رياضة الركض.
وبحسب صحيفة ذا صن، باغت الدب الضحية وأمسك بها قبل أن يجرّها بالقوة إلى داخل الغابة المجاورة. وبعد نحو نصف ساعة، عثرت فرق الإنقاذ عليها وهي تنزف بغزارة إثر إصابات خطيرة في الرأس والوجه.
وقال أحد جيرانها إنه ظن في البداية أن الأصوات صادرة عن صراع دب مع كلب، لكنه اكتشف الحقيقة عندما وجدها ممددة على الأرض في حالة صدمة.
وجرى نقل كولتون بواسطة مروحية طبية إلى مستشفى في مدينة أنكوريغ، حيث خضعت لجراحات عاجلة، فيما أكدت عائلتها أنها لا تزال بحاجة إلى عمليات إضافية ورعاية طويلة الأمد.
ولمساندة الأسرة، أطلق الأصدقاء والأقارب حملة تبرعات عبر منصة GoFundMe جمعت حتى الآن أكثر من 58 ألف دولار من أصل 100 ألف مستهدف لتغطية تكاليف العلاج.
وأوضحت شرطة الحياة البرية أن الدب لا يزال طليقاً، وأشارت إلى أن الهجوم وقع على بعد 50 ياردة فقط من منزل الضحية، وحذّرت السكان من توخي الحذر مع ازدياد نشاط الدببة في المنطقة استعداداً لفصل الشتاء.
In a horrific incident that shook the state of Alaska, Aryan Fabrizio Colton (36 years old), a nurse and mother of three, was violently attacked by a brown bear near her home in Kenai while she was preparing to go for a run.
According to The Sun, the bear surprised the victim and grabbed her before dragging her forcefully into the nearby woods. After about half an hour, rescue teams found her bleeding profusely from serious injuries to her head and face.
One of her neighbors said he initially thought the sounds were from a bear fighting with a dog, but he discovered the truth when he found her lying on the ground in shock.
Colton was airlifted by a medical helicopter to a hospital in Anchorage, where she underwent emergency surgeries, while her family confirmed that she still needs additional operations and long-term care.
To support the family, friends and relatives launched a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe, which has so far raised over $58,000 of the $100,000 target to cover medical expenses.
The wildlife police stated that the bear is still at large and noted that the attack occurred just 50 yards from the victim's home, warning residents to exercise caution as bear activity in the area increases in preparation for winter.
