لم يعد مشهد الدعاوى القضائية المرتبطة بمؤثري اللياقة غريباً، لكن ما يواجهه برايان جونسون المعروف بـ «Liver King» هذه المرة يبدو وكأنه خارج من فيلم هوليودي.
فقد رفع الرياضي السابق براد كيرنز دعوى ضد «ليفـر كينغ» بدعوى إخلاله باتفاق تجاري لتسويق مكمل غذائي يحمل اسم MOFO (اختصارا لعبارة Male Optimization Formula with Organs)، وهو منتج مثير للجدل يتكون من مسحوق أعضاء حيوانية مجففة.
الطريف بل والمثير للدهشة أن العقد المبرم بين الطرفين لم يوقّع بالحبر، بل تم ختمه بدماء الطرفين بناءً على إصرار جونسون. ورغم نفي فريق «ليفـر كينغ» لجدية الاتفاق، فقد أقروا أمام المحكمة بأن التوقيع تضمن بالفعل «وضع علامات بالدم».
لكن المفارقة القانونية تكمن في أن المحاكم في كاليفورنيا سبق أن قضت بأن العقود الممهورة بالدم لا تُعد ملزمة قانونياً، بل لا تتجاوز قيمتها الرمزية «وعدًا شرفياً»، لا يختلف كثيراً عن قسم بالأصابع الصغيرة.
وأثارت القضية موجة من السخرية على منصات التواصل، خصوصا أن جونسون (الذي اشتهر بتناول الأعضاء الحيوانية النيئة) أصبح الآن مهدداً بدفع ثمن غريب لأسلوبه المثير للجدل في «التسويق عبر الصدمات».
ويبقى السؤال: هل كان يمكن لـ«ليفـر كينغ» أن يتفادى كل هذا لو اكتفى برفع إصبعه الصغير بدل قطرة دم؟
The scene of lawsuits involving fitness influencers is no longer strange, but what Brian Johnson, known as "Liver King," is facing this time seems like something out of a Hollywood movie.
Former athlete Brad Kern has filed a lawsuit against "Liver King" for breaching a commercial agreement to market a dietary supplement named MOFO (short for Male Optimization Formula with Organs), a controversial product made from powdered dried animal organs.
Interestingly and surprisingly, the contract between the two parties was not signed in ink, but was sealed with the blood of both parties at Johnson's insistence. Despite the "Liver King" team denying the seriousness of the agreement, they acknowledged in court that the signature did indeed involve "blood markings."
However, the legal irony lies in the fact that California courts have previously ruled that blood-sealed contracts are not legally binding and are merely symbolic in value, akin to a "gentleman's promise," not much different from a pinky swear.
The case has sparked a wave of ridicule on social media, especially since Johnson (who became famous for consuming raw animal organs) is now threatened with paying a strange price for his controversial "shock marketing" approach.
The question remains: Could "Liver King" have avoided all this by simply raising his pinky instead of using a drop of blood?
