فقدت الزميلة أسماء فرنان، مراسلة «عكاظ» في باريس، نجل شقيقها الذي كان من بين ضحايا حادث الحافلة المأساوي الذي وقع الجمعة في العاصمة الجزائر. وأسفر الحادث عن وفاة 18 شخصاً وإصابة 9 آخرين، بينهم حالتان حرجتان، إثر انحراف حافلة لنقل المسافرين وسقوطها من أعلى جسر في مجرى وادي الحراش بمنطقة المحمدية شرق العاصمة.
ووفق بيان «الحماية المدنية» الجزائرية، هرعت فرق الإنقاذ إلى موقع الحادث على الفور، وتم نقل المصابين إلى المستشفى المحلي، وتحويل جثامين الضحايا إلى مصلحة حفظ الجثث.
وعقب الفاجعة، أعلن وزير الداخلية أن رئيس الجمهورية عبدالمجيد تبون قرر منح 100 مليون سنتيم لأسر الضحايا، فيما وجه الرئيس رسالة تعزية أكد فيها تضامنه العميق مع العائلات المفجوعة، داعياً بالرحمة للضحايا والصبر والسلوان لذويهم، والشفاء العاجل للمصابين.
Colleague Asmaa Fernan, a correspondent for "Okaz" in Paris, lost her nephew, who was among the victims of the tragic bus accident that occurred on Friday in the capital, Algiers. The accident resulted in the death of 18 people and injured 9 others, including two in critical condition, after a passenger bus veered off course and fell from the top of a bridge into the Harrach River in the Mohammedia area east of the capital.
According to a statement from the Algerian Civil Protection, rescue teams rushed to the scene of the accident immediately, and the injured were transported to the local hospital, while the bodies of the victims were transferred to the morgue.
Following the tragedy, the Minister of Interior announced that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune decided to grant 10 million Algerian dinars to the families of the victims, while the president sent a message of condolence expressing his deep solidarity with the grieving families, praying for mercy for the victims and patience and solace for their loved ones, as well as a speedy recovery for the injured.
