هدد رجل الأعمال الملياردير الأمريكي إيلون ماسك باتخاذ إجراءات قانونية بحق شركة آبل، متهماً إياها بانتهاك قواعد مكافحة الاحتكار من خلال تفضيل تطبيق ChatGPT التابع لشركة OpenAI في تصنيفات متجر التطبيقات على حساب مساعده الذكي Grok الذي تطوره شركته xAI.
وقال ماسك في منشور عبر منصة إكس، التي يملكها: «إن آبل تتصرف بطريقة تجعل من المستحيل على أي شركة ذكاء اصطناعي غير OpenAI أن تصل إلى أول مركز في متجر التطبيقات، وهذا يعد انتهاكاً صريحاً لقوانين مكافحة الاحتكار. ستتخذ xAI إجراءات قانونية فورية».
ولم يقدم ماسك أدلة تدعم ادعاءاته، في حين أشار بعض مستخدمي إكس إلى أن تطبيق DeepSeek احتل أول مركز في متجر التطبيقات في يناير الماضي، أي بعد مدة طويلة من إعلان شراكة آبل مع OpenAI، التي تتيح لمساعد سيري الاستعانة بروبوت ChatGPT لمعالجة الاستفسارات المعقدة.
وانتقد ماسك «آبل» لعدم إدراج تطبيق إكس أو مساعد Grok ضمن قسم «التطبيقات الضرورية» في متجرها، في حين يحتل ChatGPT حالياً أول مركز في قائمة التطبيقات المجانية، ويأتي Grok في المركز السادس، في حين يحتل روبوت الدردشة Gemini من جوجل المرتبة السابعة والخمسين.
وتأتي تصريحات ماسك وسط ضغوط متزايدة على «آبل» من جهات تنظيمية ومنافسين بشأن سياسات متجر التطبيقات. ففي أبريل الماضي، قضى قاضٍ أمريكي بأن «آبل» انتهكت أمراً قضائياً بفتح متجر التطبيقات أمام مزيد من المنافسة، وأحال الشركة للتحقيق بتهمة «ازدراء جنائي للمحكمة»، في قضية رفعتها شركة Epic Games، المطورة للعبة فورت نايت، فيما غرّم الاتحاد الأوروبي «آبل» في ذات الشهر بـ500 مليون يورو لانتهاكها قانون الأسواق الرقمية، متهماً إياها بفرض قيود تمنع المطورين من توجيه المستخدمين إلى عروض أرخص خارج متجر التطبيقات.
American billionaire businessman Elon Musk threatened to take legal action against Apple, accusing it of violating antitrust rules by favoring the ChatGPT app from OpenAI in the app store rankings over his company's AI assistant Grok, developed by xAI.
Musk stated in a post on the platform X, which he owns: "Apple is acting in a way that makes it impossible for any AI company other than OpenAI to reach the top spot in the app store, which is a blatant violation of antitrust laws. xAI will take immediate legal action."
Musk did not provide evidence to support his claims, while some X users pointed out that the DeepSeek app reached the top spot in the app store last January, long after Apple announced its partnership with OpenAI, which allows Siri to use the ChatGPT robot to handle complex inquiries.
Musk criticized Apple for not including the X app or Grok assistant in the "essential apps" section of its store, while ChatGPT currently holds the top spot in the free apps list, Grok is in sixth place, and Google's Gemini chatbot ranks fifty-seventh.
Musk's statements come amid increasing pressure on Apple from regulators and competitors regarding app store policies. Last April, a U.S. judge ruled that Apple violated a court order to open the app store to more competition and referred the company for investigation on charges of "criminal contempt of court" in a case brought by Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite. Additionally, the European Union fined Apple €500 million that same month for violating digital markets law, accusing it of imposing restrictions that prevent developers from directing users to cheaper offers outside the app store.
