ضرب زلزال بلغت قوته 6.2 درجات على مقياس ريختر سواحل جزر الكوريل الشمالية في المحيط الهادئ فجر اليوم.
وذكرت رئيسة محطة يوجنو ساخالينسك لرصد الزلازل إيلينا سيمينوفا أن مركز الزلزال حدد على بُعد 208 كيلومترات شرق مدينة سيفيرو كوريلسك في جزيرة باراموشير، وكان على عمق 29 كيلومترًا.
ولم ترد معلومات فورية عن وقوع خسائر بشرية أو أضرار مادية جراء الزلزال.
A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck the northern Kuril Islands in the Pacific Ocean early this morning.
Elena Semenova, the head of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk seismic monitoring station, reported that the earthquake's epicenter was located 208 kilometers east of the city of Severo-Kurilsk on Paramushir Island, at a depth of 29 kilometers.
No immediate information has been reported regarding casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
