ارتفعت حالات الإصابة بجدري القردة في غينيا، حيث تجاوز عدد الإصابات المؤكدة 300 حالة منذ تسجيل أول إصابة في سبتمبر الماضي، وفق ما أفادت به السلطات الصحية المحلية.
وحسب البيانات الرسمية، تم تسجيل 307 حالات إصابة مؤكدة حتى الآن، تماثل 116 منها للشفاء، بينما لا تزال سبع حالات تصنّف على أنها خطيرة وتتلقى العلاج في المستشفيات. كما سُجلت حالة وفاة واحدة فقط جراء المرض حتى تاريخه.
وأشارت المصادر ذاتها إلى وجود 461 حالة مشتبه بإصابتها، بانتظار نتائج الفحوص المخبرية.
وأعلنت السلطات الصحية في البلاد حالة طوارئ صحية عامة، ووضعت الوكالة الوطنية للأمن الصحي خطة استجابة تشمل تعزيز المراقبة الوبائية، وتتبع المخالطين، وتنفيذ خطة تأهب وطنية بدعم من منظمة الصحة العالمية.
The cases of monkeypox in Guinea have risen, with the number of confirmed infections exceeding 300 since the first case was recorded last September, according to local health authorities.
According to official data, 307 confirmed cases have been recorded so far, with 116 of them having recovered, while seven cases are still classified as serious and receiving treatment in hospitals. Only one death due to the disease has been recorded to date.
The same sources indicated that there are 461 suspected cases awaiting laboratory test results.
The health authorities in the country declared a public health emergency and the National Health Security Agency has implemented a response plan that includes enhancing epidemiological surveillance, tracking contacts, and executing a national preparedness plan with support from the World Health Organization.
