في تحذير علمي غير مسبوق، أكد 60 عالماً من كبار المتخصصين في المناخ حول العالم أن الكوكب يقترب بشكل خطير من نقطة اللا عودة، مشيرين إلى أن العالم أمامه فقط ثلاث سنوات لتجنّب كارثة مناخية شاملة قد تهدد الحياة كما نعرفها.
التقرير الذي صدر عن مبادرة «Earth Commission»، بالتعاون مع جهات علمية عدة، أشار إلى أن مؤشرات التغير المناخي دخلت مرحلة «الخطر غير القابل للعكس»؛ بسبب تسارع وتيرة انبعاثات الغازات الدفيئة، وارتفاع حرارة الأرض، وزيادة وتيرة الكوارث الطبيعية من حرائق وغرق مناطق ساحلية وجفاف متواصل.
وأوصى التقرير بتقليص انبعاثات الكربون إلى النصف بحلول 2030م، والتوقف الفوري عن إزالة الغابات، والتوسع في استخدام الطاقة المتجددة بشكل إلزامي. كما حذّر العلماء من أن التأخير في التحرك سيجعل أي حلول لاحقة عديمة الفائدة.
التحذير يأتي في وقت تتزايد فيه الانقسامات السياسية بشأن قضايا المناخ، وتُظهر البيانات أن التزام الدول الكبرى باتفاق باريس لا يزال ضعيفاً.

In an unprecedented scientific warning, 60 leading climate specialists from around the world confirmed that the planet is dangerously close to a point of no return, indicating that the world has only three years to avoid a comprehensive climate disaster that could threaten life as we know it.
The report issued by the "Earth Commission" initiative, in collaboration with several scientific entities, pointed out that indicators of climate change have entered a phase of "irreversible danger" due to the accelerating pace of greenhouse gas emissions, rising global temperatures, and an increase in the frequency of natural disasters such as wildfires, coastal flooding, and ongoing droughts.
The report recommended halving carbon emissions by 2030, an immediate halt to deforestation, and a mandatory expansion of renewable energy use. Scientists also warned that any delay in action would render subsequent solutions useless.
This warning comes at a time when political divisions over climate issues are increasing, and data shows that the commitment of major countries to the Paris Agreement remains weak.
