وذكر مركز رصد الزلازل الأوروبي المتوسطي أن الزلزال تم تسجيله عند الساعة 20:50 بالتوقيت العالمي على بعد نحو 113 كيلومترا جنوب غرب مدينة غورونتالو وبعمق 140 كيلومترا.
ولم ترد أنباء أولية عن وقوع خسائر بشرية أو إصابات مادية، ولم يتم الإعلان عن أي تهديد بحدوث موجات مد عالية (تسونامي) جراء الزلزال.
A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck off the coast of Indonesia today.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that the earthquake was recorded at 20:50 UTC, approximately 113 kilometers southwest of the city of Gorontalo and at a depth of 140 kilometers.
No initial reports of casualties or material damage have been received, and no tsunami warning has been issued as a result of the earthquake.
