شهد العرض العسكري السنوي ليوم الباستيل (اليوم الوطني الفرنسي) حالة من الفوضى والإحراج على شارع الشانزليزيه بباريس، حيث تعرضت قوات الخيالة التابعة للحرس الجمهوري الفرنسي لموقفين محرجين أمام الرئيس إيمانويل ماكرون وكبار الشخصيات.
وخلال العرض، الذي حضره حوالى 7000 فرد من القوات المسلحة، انفصل حصان عن التشكيلة الاستعراضية وهرب دون فارسه، في مشهد فوضوي، بينما تعثر حصان آخر وسقط أرضا مع جندي أمام منصة المراقبة الرئاسية، ما تسبب في ارتباك واضح، وتأخير موكب الخيالة، وانتشار مقاطع الفيديو على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي.
وأقيم العرض العسكري التقليدي ليوم الباستيل على شارع الشانزليزيه، من قوس النصر إلى ساحة الكونكورد، بحضور الرئيس ماكرون وأعضاء الحكومة والسفراء الأجانب، وشاركت في العرض وحدات من الحرس الجمهوري، بما في ذلك 200 حصان، إلى جانب 65 طائرة و34 مروحية، و450 جنديا إندونيسيا كضيوف شرف.
وأفادت تقارير بأن الجندي لم يُصب بجروح خطيرة، لكن المشهد أثار ضحكا وانتقادات على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، إذ وصف البعض العرض بأنه «فشل عسكري» رغم الجهود الكبيرة لإظهاره كعرض للقوة الفرنسية، كما لوحظت إصابة أحد الجنود بنزيف في الأذن أثناء سيره مع زملائه من أكاديمية التدريب العسكري، ما أضاف إلى الانطباع العام بالفوضى.
وأشارت تقارير إلى أن شوارع الشانزليزيه بدت باهتة وغير مجهزة بالشكل المعتاد، ما زاد من الانتقادات الموجهة للتنظيم، وحاولت الكاميرات الرسمية تجنب تصوير الحادثتين، لكن مقاطع الفيديو التي التقطها الجمهور انتشرت بسرعة، ما أثار جدلا حول جاهزية القوات الفرنسية ومستوى التنظيم في هذا الحدث الوطني الكبير.
ويُعد يوم الباستيل (14 يوليو) العيد الوطني الفرنسي، ويُحتفل به منذ 1880 لإحياء ذكرى اقتحام سجن الباستيل 1789، وهو حدث رمزي للثورة الفرنسية، ويُعتبر العرض العسكري في باريس، الذي يُقام على الشانزليزيه، أحد أقدم وأكبر العروض العسكرية في العالم، إذ يضم آلاف الجنود، والمركبات المدرعة، والطائرات، ويُبث مباشرة على التلفزيون الفرنسي.
ليست هذه المرة الأولى التي تشهد فيها عروض الباستيل حوادث محرجة، ففي 2017، أخطأت طائرات فرقة العرض الجوي «باتروي دي فرانس» في ترتيب الألوان الدخانية، ما أدى إلى ظهور العلم الروسي بدلا من الفرنسي، كما شهدت الاحتفالات في سنوات سابقة أعمال شغب واشتباكات، خصوصا في 2009 عندما أضرم شباب باريسيون النار في مئات السيارات.
The annual military parade for Bastille Day (French National Day) witnessed chaos and embarrassment on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, as the cavalry forces of the French Republican Guard faced two awkward situations in front of President Emmanuel Macron and other dignitaries.
During the parade, which was attended by about 7,000 members of the armed forces, a horse broke away from the formation and ran off without its rider in a chaotic scene, while another horse stumbled and fell to the ground with a soldier in front of the presidential viewing platform, causing clear confusion, delaying the cavalry procession, and leading to the spread of videos on social media.
The traditional military parade for Bastille Day took place on the Champs-Élysées, from the Arc de Triomphe to Place de la Concorde, in the presence of President Macron, government members, and foreign ambassadors. The parade featured units from the Republican Guard, including 200 horses, along with 65 aircraft and 34 helicopters, and 450 Indonesian soldiers as honored guests.
Reports indicated that the soldier was not seriously injured, but the scene sparked laughter and criticism on social media, with some describing the parade as a "military failure" despite the significant efforts to present it as a display of French strength. It was also noted that one soldier was seen with ear bleeding while walking with his colleagues from the military training academy, which added to the overall impression of chaos.
Reports pointed out that the Champs-Élysées appeared dull and not as well-prepared as usual, which increased the criticisms directed at the organization. Official cameras tried to avoid capturing the two incidents, but videos taken by the public quickly spread, sparking debate about the readiness of French forces and the level of organization for this major national event.
Bastille Day (July 14) is the French National Day, celebrated since 1880 to commemorate the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, a symbolic event of the French Revolution. The military parade in Paris, held on the Champs-Élysées, is one of the oldest and largest military parades in the world, featuring thousands of soldiers, armored vehicles, and aircraft, and is broadcast live on French television.
This is not the first time that the Bastille Day parades have witnessed embarrassing incidents. In 2017, the aircraft of the "Patrouille de France" air display team mismanaged the arrangement of smoke colors, resulting in the appearance of the Russian flag instead of the French one. Previous celebrations have also seen riots and clashes, particularly in 2009 when young Parisians set hundreds of cars on fire.
