شهد الطريق الإقليمي بنطاق مركز منشأة القناطر بمحافظة المنوفية صباح اليوم السبت حادثاً مروعاً أسفر عن مصرع 9 أشخاص وإصابة 11 آخرين، إثر تصادم عنيف بين ميكروباصين، في واحد من أكثر الحوادث دموية خلال الأسابيع الأخيرة.
وقع الحادث نتيجة السرعة الزائدة والتجاوز الخاطئ، مما أدى إلى فقدان أحد السائقين السيطرة على السيارة ووقوع تصادم مباشر مع ميكروباص قادم من الاتجاه المعاكس. وعلى الفور، انتقلت فرق الإسعاف والشرطة إلى موقع الحادث، وتم الدفع بـ12 سيارة إسعاف لنقل الجثامين والمصابين إلى مستشفيات منشأة القناطر والشيخ زايد لتلقي الرعاية الطبية اللازمة.
وأفادت وزارة الصحة في بيان لها أن الإصابات تراوحت بين كسور مضاعفة ونزيف داخلي وارتجاج بالمخ، مؤكدة أنه تم رفع حالة الطوارئ القصوى في المستشفيات القريبة، بينما تم التحفظ على الجثامين بثلاجات حفظ الموتى تحت تصرف النيابة العامة، التي بدأت التحقيق في ملابسات الحادث.
شهود عيان ذكروا أن أحد الميكروباصين كان يسير بسرعة جنونية في حارة معاكسة، قبل أن يصطدم وجهاً لوجه بالميكروباص الآخر، مما أسفر عن تطاير الضحايا على جانبَي الطريق في مشهد مأساوي. وأشاروا إلى أن المارة والمواطنين القاطنين بالمنطقة حاولوا التدخل لإنقاذ المصابين قبل وصول سيارات الإسعاف.
الحادث أعاد إلى الواجهة المخاوف المتزايدة من خطورة الطريق الإقليمي، الذي يشهد حوادث مميتة بشكل متكرر بسبب غياب الرقابة المرورية الكافية، وضعف الإنارة، ونقص اللوحات الإرشادية، وسط مطالب شعبية متجددة بسرعة اتخاذ إجراءات فاعلة لتأمين الطريق وإنقاذ الأرواح.
This morning, Saturday, a horrific accident occurred on the regional road within the Manshat al-Qanater Center in the Monufia Governorate, resulting in the death of 9 people and the injury of 11 others, following a violent collision between two microbuses, in one of the deadliest accidents in recent weeks.
The accident happened due to excessive speed and improper overtaking, which led one of the drivers to lose control of the vehicle and collide head-on with an oncoming microbus. Immediately, ambulance and police teams rushed to the scene of the accident, and 12 ambulances were dispatched to transport the bodies and the injured to the hospitals of Manshat al-Qanater and Sheikh Zayed for necessary medical care.
The Ministry of Health stated in a statement that the injuries ranged from multiple fractures to internal bleeding and concussions, confirming that the highest state of emergency was declared in nearby hospitals, while the bodies were preserved in mortuary refrigerators under the disposal of the Public Prosecution, which has begun investigating the circumstances of the accident.
Eyewitnesses reported that one of the microbuses was driving at a reckless speed in the opposite lane before colliding head-on with the other microbus, resulting in victims being thrown to both sides of the road in a tragic scene. They indicated that passersby and residents of the area attempted to intervene to rescue the injured before the ambulances arrived.
The accident has brought back to the forefront the growing concerns about the dangers of the regional road, which frequently witnesses deadly accidents due to the lack of adequate traffic monitoring, poor lighting, and insufficient signage, amid renewed public demands for prompt action to secure the road and save lives.
