أعلنت وزارة البترول المصرية مساء (الثلاثاء) عن انقلاب حفار بحري في خليج السويس شرقي البلاد، ما تسبب في مقتل 4 وفقدان آخرين.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان إنها تلقت بلاغا من شركة أوسوكو يفيد بوقوع حادثة انقلاب للحفار البحري «آدم مارين 12» بمنطقة جبل الزيت بخليج السويس على بُعد نحو 300 كيلومتر جنوبي القناة السويس، وتُعد أحد أبرز مواقع إنتاج النفط في مصر.
وأفادت وزارة الصحة المصرية بوفاة 4 أشخاص وإصابة 22 جراء حادثة الغرق بخليج السويس.
ولا يُتوقع أن تسبب الحادثة اضطرابات في الملاحة بالقناة.
وذكرت مصادر في قطاع البترول أن الحفار كان في طريقه إلى موقع جديد عندما انقلب في وقت سابق من المساء.
وكان الحفار يعمل في منطقة امتياز مملوكة لشركة أديس لخدمات الحفر البحري، حيث كان يحفر عدة آبار.
وأضافت الوزارة أن وزيري البترول والعمل توجها على رأس فريق من قيادات الوزارتين إلى موقع الحادثة للوقوف ميدانيا على تطورات الموقف، ومتابعة عمليات الإنقاذ وما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات فورية للتعامل مع الحادثة.
وقالت الوزارة إنها تتابع تطورات الموقف لحظة بلحظة، وتتخذ الإجراءات اللازمة بالتنسيق مع الجهات المختصة والشركات التابعة لها بالمنطقة.
The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum announced on Tuesday evening that an offshore drilling rig overturned in the Gulf of Suez in the eastern part of the country, resulting in the death of 4 people and the disappearance of others.
The ministry stated in a statement that it received a report from the Osoco company indicating that the offshore rig "Adam Marine 12" had overturned in the Jabal al-Zeit area of the Gulf of Suez, approximately 300 kilometers south of the Suez Canal, which is one of the main oil production sites in Egypt.
The Egyptian Ministry of Health reported the death of 4 individuals and the injury of 22 others due to the drowning incident in the Gulf of Suez.
The incident is not expected to cause disruptions to navigation in the canal.
Sources in the petroleum sector mentioned that the rig was en route to a new site when it overturned earlier in the evening.
The rig was operating in a concession area owned by the Adis company for offshore drilling services, where it was drilling several wells.
The ministry added that the Ministers of Petroleum and Labor headed a team of leaders from both ministries to the site of the incident to assess the situation on the ground, monitor the rescue operations, and follow up on the immediate measures taken to address the incident.
The ministry stated that it is monitoring the developments of the situation moment by moment and taking the necessary actions in coordination with the relevant authorities and its affiliated companies in the area.
