حاول راكب وصفته وسائل الإعلام بالـ«مضطرب» فتح باب الطوارئ أثناء رحلة لطائرة تابعة لخطوط «آل نيبون» اليابانية، كانت متجهة من طوكيو إلى هيوستن، ما أجبر الطاقم على تغيير مسار الرحلة إلى مطار سياتل الأمريكي.
وبحسب التفاصيل التي أوردتها صحيفة «ديلي ميل» البريطانية، قام الرجل بمحاولة مفاجئة لفتح باب الطائرة بعد 9 ساعات من إقلاع الطائرة، بينما كان معظم الركاب نائمين.
وعلى الفور، تصدى له رجلان، بمساعدة مضيفات الطيران، وتمت السيطرة عليه وتقييده في مقعده، بعد أن تسبب الموقف في إثارة حالة من الفزع بين الركاب.
وبحسب ما نقلت الصحيفة عن واحدة من ركاب الطائرة، فقد بدا الرجل في البداية وكأنه يعاني من وعكة صحية، لكنه فجأة اتجه نحو باب الطوارئ في محاولة لفتحه. وقالت إن الرجلين اللذين احتويا الموقف تصرفا بهدوء واحترافية، وأوضح أحدهما أنه خدم سابقاً في البحرية، بينما تبين أن الآخر كان عسكرياً مخضرماً.
وبعد السيطرة على الموقف، اضطُر طاقم القيادة إلى تحويل مسار الطائرة إلى سياتل، حيث هبطت بعد 45 دقيقة من الحادث.
وعند وصول الطائرة، كانت قوات الأجهزة الأمنية والطبية في انتظارها على المدرج، وتم نقل المشتبه به الرئيسي إلى المستشفى بعدما تبين أنه يعاني من أزمة صحية.
وأكد متحدث باسم المطار أن الرجل حاول فتح باب الطوارئ أثناء التحليق، وهو أمر مستحيل عملياً بسبب ضغط الهواء داخل المقصورة.
ولا تزال ظروف الحادث وتفاصيل الحالة الصحية للراكب غامضة.
يذكر أن أبواب الطائرات مصممة لتبقى مغلقة بإحكام أثناء الطيران بسبب فرق الضغط الجوي، ما يجعل فتحها في الجو أمراً مستحيلاً.

She stated that the two men who contained the situation acted calmly and professionally, with one of them revealing that he had previously served in the Navy, while the other was found to be a seasoned military veteran.
After regaining control of the situation, the flight crew had to divert the plane to Seattle, where it landed 45 minutes after the incident.
Upon the plane's arrival, security and medical personnel were waiting on the runway, and the main suspect was taken to the hospital after it was determined that he was experiencing a health crisis.
A spokesperson for the airport confirmed that the man attempted to open the emergency door while in flight, which is practically impossible due to the air pressure inside the cabin.
