أعلنت منصة المراسلة الفورية (واتساب) توسيع ميزة «الدردشة الصوتية» لتشمل كافة مجموعات الدردشة، بصرف النظر عن عدد أعضائها، في خطوة تهدف إلى تعزيز تجربة التواصل الفوري داخل التطبيق دون الحاجة إلى المكالمات التقليدية أو الرسائل النصية الطويلة.
وتتيح الميزة الجديدة للمستخدمين التحدث مع أفراد المجموعة صوتياً في الوقت الفعلي، دون مغادرة نافذة الدردشة أو اللجوء إلى مكالمة جماعية كاملة، ما يمنحهم حرية أكبر في الانضمام والمغادرة حسب الرغبة، وفقاً لما ذكرته المنصة عبر مدونتها الرسمية.
يُذكر أن هذه الميزة كانت في السابق حصرية للمجموعات الكبيرة، لكن «واتساب» بدأت الآن بطرحها تدريجياً للمجموعات كافة، سواء كانت تضم عضوين فقط أو أكثر من 20 عضواً.
ويمكن تفعيل الدردشة الصوتية من خلال سحب الشاشة من الأسفل داخل المحادثة الجماعية والاستمرار في الضغط لبضع ثوانٍ. ولن يصدر عن هذه الميزة أي إشعار أو رنين للمشاركين، ما يوفّر تجربة غير مزعجة، إذ يمكن لأي عضو الانضمام أو الانسحاب بحرية. وتبقى الدردشة الصوتية مثبتة في أسفل الشاشة لتسهيل الوصول إلى أدوات التحكم في المكالمة.
وتُعد هذه الخطوة جزءاً من جهود واتساب المستمرة لإضافة مزايا تعزز سلاسة التواصل بين المستخدمين دون تعقيد أو انقطاع.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة في وقتٍ تشهد فيه تطبيقات التراسل الفوري منافسة شديدة على صعيد المزايا الصوتية والمرئية، إذ تسعى «واتساب» إلى الحفاظ على ريادتها في السوق من خلال تحسين أدوات التفاعل الجماعي، وتوفير خيارات مرنة وسلسة للتواصل داخل المجموعات.
The instant messaging platform (WhatsApp) announced the expansion of the "voice chat" feature to include all chat groups, regardless of the number of members, in a move aimed at enhancing the instant communication experience within the app without the need for traditional calls or lengthy text messages.
The new feature allows users to speak with group members vocally in real-time, without leaving the chat window or resorting to a full group call, giving them greater freedom to join and leave at will, according to what the platform mentioned on its official blog.
It is worth noting that this feature was previously exclusive to large groups, but WhatsApp has now begun gradually rolling it out to all groups, whether they consist of just two members or more than 20 members.
Voice chat can be activated by pulling up the screen from the bottom within the group chat and holding it for a few seconds. This feature will not issue any notifications or rings for participants, providing a non-intrusive experience, as any member can join or leave freely. The voice chat remains pinned at the bottom of the screen to facilitate access to call control tools.
This step is part of WhatsApp's ongoing efforts to add features that enhance seamless communication between users without complication or interruption.
This move comes at a time when instant messaging applications are facing intense competition regarding audio and video features, as WhatsApp seeks to maintain its market leadership by improving group interaction tools and providing flexible and smooth communication options within groups.
