أصدرت النيابة العامة المصرية، اليوم (الجمعة)، قرارًا بإحالة محامٍ يبلغ من العمر 52 عامًا، المعروف إعلاميًا بـ«سفاح المعمورة»، إلى محكمة الجنايات لاتهامه بارتكاب ثلاث جرائم قتل عمد مع سبق الإصرار، مقترنة بجنايات خطف وسرقة، في واحدة من أبشع الجرائم التي هزت الرأي العام المصري، والتي كشف عنها في منطقة المعمورة بمحافظة الإسكندرية شمالي البلاد.
وكشفت التحقيقات، التي أجرتها النيابة العامة بدعم من تحريات جهات البحث الجنائي وتقارير الصفة التشريحية، تفاصيل مروعة للجرائم، وبحسب إقرار المتهم، فقد قام بخطف موكله الأول باستخدام التحايل والإكراه، ثم قتله بسكين بغرض سرقة ممتلكاته ومبالغ مالية، مدفوعًا بضائقة مالية شديدة.
وأوضحت التحقيقات أن المتهم أقدم على قتل زوجته خنقًا خوفًا من كشف جرائمه بعد مواجهتها المتكررة له بشكوكها حول سلوكه المريب، ولم تتوقف سلسلة جرائمه عند هذا الحد، حيث خطف موكلة أخرى على خلفية خلافات مهنية، ثم قتلها عمدًا بسكين لسرقة ممتلكاتها.
وأظهرت معاينة النيابة العامة أن المتهم عمد إلى إخفاء جثث ضحاياه بدفن الأول في غرفة بمسكنه المستأجر، بينما دفن جثتي زوجته والضحية الثالثة في مسكن آخر استأجره خصيصًا لهذا الغرض، في محاولة لإخفاء معالم جرائمه، وأكدت النيابة أن الأدلة، بما في ذلك الإقرارات والتقارير الفنية، تثبت تورط المتهم بشكل قاطع في هذه الجرائم البشعة.
ويُنتظر أن تبدأ محكمة الجنايات النظر في القضية خلال الأسابيع القادمة، وسط حالة من الصدمة والغضب العام بين المواطنين وأوساط المحامين، الذين أعربوا عن استنكارهم لاستغلال المتهم مهنته لتنفيذ جرائمه.
وتُعد قضية «سفاح المعمورة» واحدة من أكثر القضايا الجنائية إثارة للجدل في مصر خلال السنوات الأخيرة، حيث أثارت تساؤلات حول استغلال المهن الحرة، مثل المحاماة، في ارتكاب جرائم معقدة.

The Egyptian Public Prosecution issued a decision today (Friday) to refer a 52-year-old lawyer, known in the media as the "Maimoura Killer," to the Criminal Court for being accused of committing three premeditated murders, along with charges of kidnapping and theft, in one of the most heinous crimes that shocked public opinion in Egypt, which was uncovered in the Maimoura area of Alexandria Governorate in the north of the country.
Investigations conducted by the Public Prosecution, supported by investigations from criminal research agencies and autopsy reports, revealed horrifying details of the crimes. According to the defendant's confession, he kidnapped his first client using deception and coercion, then killed him with a knife with the intent of stealing his belongings and money, driven by severe financial distress.
The investigations indicated that the defendant proceeded to strangle his wife out of fear that she would uncover his crimes after repeatedly confronting him with her suspicions about his suspicious behavior. The series of his crimes did not stop there; he kidnapped another client due to professional disputes, then intentionally killed her with a knife to steal her possessions.
The Public Prosecution's inspection revealed that the defendant attempted to conceal the bodies of his victims by burying the first in a room of his rented apartment, while he buried the bodies of his wife and the third victim in another residence he rented specifically for this purpose, in an attempt to hide the traces of his crimes. The prosecution confirmed that the evidence, including confessions and technical reports, conclusively proves the defendant's involvement in these heinous crimes.
The Criminal Court is expected to begin reviewing the case in the coming weeks, amid a state of shock and public anger among citizens and the legal community, who expressed their condemnation of the defendant exploiting his profession to commit his crimes.
The "Maimoura Killer" case is considered one of the most controversial criminal cases in Egypt in recent years, raising questions about the exploitation of freelance professions, such as law, in committing complex crimes.
