أعلنت شركة xAI التابعة لإيلون ماسك، اليوم (الجمعة)، تقييد ميزة إنشاء وتعديل الصور في روبوت الدردشة Grok المدمج مع منصة X (تويتر سابقاً) لتكون متاحة حصرياً للمشتركين المدفوعين، وذلك بعد انتقادات حادة ومطالبات قانونية دولية بسبب استخدام الأداة لإنتاج صور جنسية وغير مرغوب فيها لنساء وأطفال دون موافقتهم.
وكشفت تقارير، بما في ذلك وكالة «رويترز»، أن المستخدمين استغلوا الميزة لإنشاء آلاف الصور شبه عارية أو معدلة جنسياً، بما في ذلك صور لقاصرين، مما أثار اتهامات بـ«التصنيع الجماعي للتحرش الجنسي» من قبل وزير الإعلام الألماني فولفرام فايمر، ووصفتها المفوضية الأوروبية بأنها «غير قانونية ومقززة ولا مكان لها في أوروبا».
صور غير قانونية
وأكدت المفوضية الأوروبية يوم الإثنين الماضي، أن هذه الصور «غير قانونية ومروعة»، بينما طالبت هيئة تنظيم البيانات البريطانية المنصة بشرح كيفية امتثالها لقوانين حماية البيانات.
إجراءات دولية
كما هدّد رئيس الوزراء البريطاني كير ستارمر باتخاذ إجراءات، وفتحت دول مثل فرنسا والهند وماليزيا تحقيقات رسمية.
تهديد إيلون ماسك
وأوضح إيلون ماسك الأسبوع الماضي أن أي شخص يستخدم Grok لإنشاء محتوى غير قانوني سيواجه العواقب نفسها كما لو قام برفعه مباشرة.
xAI, the company owned by Elon Musk, announced today (Friday) that the image creation and editing feature in the Grok chatbot integrated with the X platform (formerly Twitter) will be restricted to paid subscribers only, following sharp criticism and international legal demands due to the tool's use in producing sexual and unwanted images of women and children without their consent.
Reports, including from Reuters, revealed that users exploited the feature to create thousands of semi-nude or sexually altered images, including images of minors, prompting accusations of "mass manufacturing of sexual harassment" from German Minister of Media Volker Wissing, and the European Commission described it as "illegal, disgusting, and has no place in Europe."
Illegal Images
The European Commission confirmed last Monday that these images are "illegal and horrifying," while the UK data regulator demanded that the platform explain how it complies with data protection laws.
International Actions
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also threatened to take action, and countries such as France, India, and Malaysia have opened official investigations.
Elon Musk's Warning
Elon Musk clarified last week that anyone using Grok to create illegal content will face the same consequences as if they had uploaded it directly.
