In a tour preceding their appearance on the ground of their new stadium, the players of the first football team of Al-Qadisiyah Club visited the Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar, where they examined the details of the facility that is preparing to host the team’s matches in the upcoming phase, in a step that brings them closer to a stadium that accommodates around 47,000 spectators.
The players, accompanied by the technical and administrative staff and club officials, toured the stadium, getting acquainted with the pitch, the stands, the players' rooms, and the supporting facilities. They learned about the preparations and services that will accompany their presence in the new facility, which is expected to become a destination for Al-Qadisiyah fans and their competitions at home.
The delegation was welcomed by Nabil Al-Jama, the Executive Vice President for Human Resources and Support Services at Saudi Aramco, in the presence of Fahd Al-Dhabib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aramco Stadium, Mohammed Al-Thumairi, Vice Chairman of the Board, and Matthew, the CEO of the company.
The delegation included Rami Al-Turki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Qadisiyah Club and a member of the Board of Directors of Aramco Stadium, Abdullah Al-Rashed, a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Qadisiyah Club, and James Piesgrove, the CEO of Al-Qadisiyah Club and a member of the Board of Directors of Aramco Stadium, along with the first team players and the technical and administrative staff.
During the tour, the players learned about the features of the stadium, whose architectural design is inspired by the water vortices along the shores of Al Khobar, combining the coastal identity of the city with modern sports facilities. It has a capacity of about 47,000 seats, while the overall project plan covers an area of approximately 800,000 square meters, including sports and entertainment facilities and areas for fans.
The visit is significant as Al-Qadisiyah is close to starting its matches at the stadium, allowing the players to familiarize themselves closely with their new facilities before welcoming competitors and fans, at a time when the stadium is preparing to host major sporting events, including the AFC Asian Cup 2027 and the FIFA World Cup 2034 as part of Saudi Arabia's hosting plans.
Between the pitch where the players will compete and the stands awaiting the presence of fans, the tour represents an initial acquaintance between Al-Qadisiyah and its new stadium, before the relationship transitions from an exploratory tour to matches whose details will be written on the green rectangle.
