أكد مدرب الخليج، جوزيه غوميز، أن الروح الجماعية وشخصية لاعبيه كانتا مفتاح العودة المثيرة أمام الفتح، بعد تأخر فريقه بهدفين دون مقابل، قبل أن ينتفض في الدقائق الأخيرة ويحقق الفوز بنتيجة 3-2، ضمن منافسات الجولة العاشرة من دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
وأوضح غوميز أن إجراء تسعة تغييرات في يوم واحد ليس أمرا سهلا، مشددا على ثقته بجميع اللاعبين واعتماده على المجموعة بأكملها، حتى عندما كانت النتيجة لا تصب في مصلحة فريقه.
وأشار مدرب الخليج إلى أن ما ظهر به لاعبوه في نهاية المواجهة يعكس قوة روح المجموعة، مبينا أن العودة بعد التأخر بهدفين تتطلب شخصية قوية وتكاتفا بين اللاعبين، وهو ما أسهم في قلب النتيجة وانتزاع النقاط الثلاث.
ولم يخف غوميز إعجابه بالإثارة التي شهدتها المواجهة، موجها التهنئة إلى دوري روشن السعودي على هذه المباراة، التي وصفها بأنها من اللقاءات التي تحبس الأنفاس، إلى درجة أن مريض القلب قد لا يستطيع مشاهدتها.
وكان الفتح قد تقدم بهدفين عبر لوكاس هاراسلين في الدقيقة 33 وويلفريد كانغا في الدقيقة 60، قبل أن يبدأ الخليج عودته بهدف موسى بارو في الدقيقة 78، ثم أدرك جوشوا كينغ التعادل في الدقيقة 84، فيما حسم عمر ماسكاريل المواجهة بهدف الفوز في الدقيقة 90+3.
وبهذه النتيجة، رفع الخليج رصيده إلى 12 نقطة في المركز العاشر، فيما بقي الفتح عند 6 نقاط في المركز السادس عشر.
Gulf coach, José Gomes, confirmed that the collective spirit and character of his players were the key to the thrilling comeback against Al-Fateh, after his team was trailing by two goals to none, before they rallied in the final minutes to achieve a 3-2 victory, in the tenth round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.
Gomes explained that making nine changes in one day is not an easy task, emphasizing his confidence in all the players and his reliance on the entire group, even when the score was not in his team's favor.
The Gulf coach pointed out that what his players displayed at the end of the match reflects the strength of the team's spirit, noting that coming back after being two goals down requires a strong character and solidarity among the players, which contributed to turning the result around and seizing the three points.
Gomes did not hide his admiration for the excitement witnessed in the match, congratulating the Roshan Saudi League on this game, which he described as one of those breath-taking encounters, to the extent that a heart patient might not be able to watch it.
Al-Fateh had taken the lead with two goals from Lukas Haraslin in the 33rd minute and Wilfried Kanga in the 60th minute, before Gulf began their comeback with a goal from Musa Barrow in the 78th minute, then Joshua King equalized in the 84th minute, while Omar Mascarell sealed the match with the winning goal in the 90+3 minute.
With this result, Gulf raised their tally to 12 points in tenth place, while Al-Fateh remained at 6 points in sixteenth place.
