انتعشت الجماهير السعودية بالفوز الكبير على المنتخب العُماني بثلاثة أهداف دون مقابل، ضمن الجولة الثانية من منافسات «خليجي 27»، حيث سجل فراس البريكان هدفين، وأضاف علي كادش الهدف الثالث.
وطالبت الجماهير المدرب اليوناني دونيس بالحفاظ على التشكيلة التي حققت الانتصار، وتجنب التغييرات الفنية في خط المقدمة، مع استمرار المهاجم فراس البريكان أساسيًا، في مقابل إبقاء عبد الله الحمدان على دكة البدلاء حتى نهاية البطولة، وفقًا لآراء عدد من الجماهير التي عبّرت عن عدم رضاها عن مستواه في المباراة السابقة أمام الكويت.
وشهدت منصة «X» تفاعلًا واسعًا مع النتيجة، وسط إشادة بالأداء وفتح نقاش حول اختيارات المدرب اليوناني، ومطالب باستمرار بعض العناصر في التشكيلة الأساسية.
ورغم الإشادة بالمردود الهجومي، اختلفت آراء الجماهير حول مستوى «الأخضر»، إذ رأى بعض المتابعين أن المواجهة أعادت الثقة إلى الفريق، فيما اعتبر آخرون أن قوة المنافس لا تسمح بإصدار أحكام مبكرة، مؤكدين أن مواجهة العراق ستكون اختبارًا أكثر دقة لمستوى المنتخب.

تصدر فراس البريكان النقاشات الجماهيرية بعد تسجيله ثنائية أمام عُمان، خصوصًا أن مشاركته أساسيًا جاءت على حساب عبد الله الحمدان، الذي قاد خط الهجوم في المباراة السابقة أمام الكويت.
وعلّقت إحدى الجماهير: «عشان يعرفون الفرق بين فراس والحمدان.. مصلحة المنتخب يلعب فراس من بداية المباراة».
وذهب مشجع آخر إلى استحضار الفوز التاريخي على الأرجنتين بنتيجة 2-1 في كأس العالم 2022، مشيدًا بالروح والحماس اللذين ظهر بهما اللاعبون أمام عُمان، وكتب: «يا سلام يا الأخضر، اليوم شفنا الروح والمتعة والشغف اللي اشتقنا لها»، معتبرًا أن الأداء أعاد إليه ذكريات الأجواء التي عاشها خلال مواجهة الأرجنتين.
وفي السياق نفسه، أشاد أحد المغردين بالمستوى الجماعي للمنتخب، معتبرًا أن «الأخضر» يمتلك مجموعة قادرة على تقديم مستويات قوية في البطولة، في ظل تنوع العناصر القادمة من عدة أندية، أبرزها الهلال والأهلي والاتحاد والشباب ونيوم والقادسية.
ووصف المشجع أداء المنتخب بقوله: «منتخبنا يقدم كرة نظيفة»، معربًا عن تفاؤله بما ينتظر الفريق في المباريات المقبلة.

في المقابل، رفض البعض المبالغة في تقييم الانتصار، مؤكدين أن المنتخب السعودي حقق المطلوب وحصد النقاط الثلاث، لكن مواجهة عُمان وحدها لا تكفي للحكم على المستوى الحقيقي لـ«الأخضر».
وقال أحد المشجعين: «منتخبنا حقق الأهم.. لكن منتخب عمان ليس مقياسًا يُقاس عليه حقيقة قوة منتخبنا»، مقدمًا التهنئة للاعبين ومتمنيًا التوفيق للمنتخب العُماني.
وعزز المنتخب السعودي صدارته للمجموعة الأولى برصيد 6 نقاط، ليضمن التأهل إلى نصف نهائي «خليجي 27»، فيما جاء العراق ثانيًا برصيد 4 نقاط، بعد انتصاره المثير على الكويت بنتيجة 3-2.
في المقابل، تجمد رصيد عُمان عند نقطة واحدة في المركز الثالث، بينما بقيت الكويت في المركز الأخير من دون نقاط، لتودع المنافسة رسميًا.
ويختتم «الأخضر» مشواره في دور المجموعات بمواجهة العراق، يوم الثلاثاء 29 سبتمبر، في لقاء يحسم صدارة المجموعة، فيما تلتقي عُمان مع الكويت في الجولة الأخيرة.

Despite the praise for the offensive output, fans had differing opinions about the level of the "Green," as some observers felt that the match restored confidence to the team, while others believed that the strength of the opponent does not allow for premature judgments, emphasizing that the match against Iraq will be a more accurate test of the national team's level.

Firas Al-Buraikan topped the fan discussions after scoring a brace against Oman, especially since his starting participation came at the expense of Abdullah Al-Hamdan, who led the attack in the previous match against Kuwait.

On the other hand, some refused to exaggerate the evaluation of the victory, affirming that the Saudi national team achieved what was required and collected the three points, but facing Oman alone is not enough to judge the true level of the "Green."
One supporter said: "Our team achieved the most important thing... but the Oman team is not a measure to gauge the true strength of our team," congratulating the players and wishing good luck to the Omani national team.
The Saudi national team strengthened its lead in Group A with 6 points, ensuring qualification for the semifinals of "Gulf 27," while Iraq came in second with 4 points after a thrilling victory over Kuwait with a score of 3-2.
Meanwhile, Oman remained at one point in third place, while Kuwait stayed in last place with no points, officially exiting the competition.
The "Green" will conclude its group stage journey by facing Iraq on Tuesday, September 29, in a match that will determine the group leader, while Oman will meet Kuwait in the final round.
