توقع الإدارة العامة للمرور في السعودية غرامة قصوى قدرها 2000 ريال على قيادة السيارة بلوحة تالفة أو غير واضحة أو مطموسة، ويبلغ الحد الأدنى للعقوبة 1000 ريال. وتشمل الحالات اللوحات التي يصعب قراءة بياناتها أو تلك التي لا تتطابق مع استمارة السير.
وأتاحت الإدارة العامة للمرور استبدال اللوحات التالفة عبر منصاتها الرسمية لتجنب الغرامة.
ويعد نظام المرور السعودي سير المركبة بلا لوحة خلفية أو بلا لوحات مخالفة مرورية، وتبلغ أقصى غرامة لها 6000 ريال والأدنى 3000 ريال، إضافة إلى حجز المركبة لحين تصحيح المخالفة. أما استخدام لوحة لسيارة أخرى فتبلغ غرامته القصوى 10000 ريال.

The Saudi traffic system considers driving a vehicle without a rear plate or with plates that violate traffic regulations as an offense, with a maximum fine of 6000 riyals and a minimum of 3000 riyals, in addition to the vehicle being impounded until the violation is corrected. Meanwhile, using a plate from another vehicle carries a maximum fine of 10000 riyals.
