حسم النادي الأهلي تعاقده مع لاعب الوسط نايف مسعود قادماً من نادي الفتح، ضمن صفقة شهدت انتقال الظهير الأيسر عبدالإله الخيبري إلى صفوف الفتح بنظام الإعارة لمدة موسم واحد، وفق الاتفاق المبرم بين الناديين.
وذكرت «عكاظ» أنها انفردت بالكشف عن تحركات الأهلي نحو التعاقد مع مسعود، إذ أشارت في 28 مايو 2026 إلى اهتمام الإدارة باللاعب، قبل أن تكشف في 6 يوليو 2026 عن اقتراب التوصل إلى اتفاق نهائي، تمهيداً للإعلان الرسمي عن إتمام الصفقة.
وجاء اختيار مسعود بتوصية فنية من المدرب الألماني ماتياس يايسله، الذي يبحث عن تدعيم خط الوسط بعناصر قادرة على منح الفريق مزيداً من التوازن، خصوصاً في مركز الارتكاز، بما ينسجم مع أهداف الأهلي في المنافسة على مختلف البطولات المحلية والقارية خلال الموسم القادم.
وقدم نايف مسعود مستويات لافتة مع الفتح خلال الموسم الماضي، وضعته ضمن أبرز لاعبي الوسط الصاعدين في دوري روشن السعودي، حيث شارك في 25 مباراة، بدأ 18 منها ضمن التشكيلة الأساسية، بإجمالي 1510 دقائق لعب، سجل خلالها هدفاً واحداً.
ويتميز مسعود بأدواره الدفاعية المؤثرة، إذ سجل 131 استعادة للكرة، و61 استعادة عبر الضغط العكسي، إضافة إلى نسبة نجاح تجاوزت 60% في الالتحامات، وهي أرقام عكست قدراته كلاعب ارتكاز يجمع بين الجانب البدني والانضباط التكتيكي، وجعلته محل اهتمام عدد من الأندية قبل أن يختار الأهلي وجهته القادمة.

Al-Ahly Club has finalized its contract with midfielder Naif Masoud, coming from Al-Fateh Club, in a deal that also saw left-back Abdulilah Al-Khaibari move to Al-Fateh on a one-season loan, according to the agreement between the two clubs.
“Okaz” reported that it was the first to reveal Al-Ahly's movements towards signing Masoud, indicating on May 28, 2026, the administration's interest in the player, before disclosing on July 6, 2026, that a final agreement was nearing, paving the way for the official announcement of the completion of the deal.
Masoud was chosen based on a technical recommendation from German coach Matthias Jaissle, who is looking to strengthen the midfield with elements capable of providing the team with more balance, especially in the pivot position, in line with Al-Ahly's goals to compete in various local and continental tournaments during the upcoming season.
Naif Masoud delivered impressive performances with Al-Fateh during the last season, placing him among the most prominent emerging midfielders in the Roshen Saudi League, as he participated in 25 matches, starting 18 of them in the starting lineup, with a total of 1510 minutes played, during which he scored one goal.
Masoud is distinguished by his impactful defensive roles, having recorded 131 ball recoveries, and 61 recoveries through counter-pressing, in addition to a success rate exceeding 60% in duels, figures that reflect his abilities as a pivot player who combines physicality and tactical discipline, making him a target for several clubs before he chose Al-Ahly as his next destination.
The signing of Masoud is part of Al-Ahly management's movements during the summer transfer window to strengthen the team's ranks with elements that align with the needs of the coaching staff, in preparation for the new season's competitions with greater ambitions on both local and continental levels.
