انتهت مواجهة بلجيكا وإيران بالتعادل السلبي 0-0 ضمن الجولة الثانية من منافسات المجموعة السابعة في كأس العالم 2026، على ملعب «سوفي» في لوس أنجلوس، في مباراة شهدت تفوقاً بلجيكياً واضحاً من حيث الاستحواذ والفرص، مقابل صلابة دفاعية إيرانية وتألق لافت للحارس علي رضا بيرانوند.
فرض المنتخب البلجيكي سيطرته على مجريات اللعب بنسبة استحواذ بلغت 70%، وسدد 23 كرة مقابل 7 لإيران، دون أن ينجح في ترجمة هذا التفوق إلى أهداف. وواجهت بلجيكا صعوبات كبيرة في إنهاء الهجمات رغم الوصول المتكرر إلى منطقة الجزاء وارتفاع عدد الكرات داخل منطقة الخصم (42 لمسة).

وشهدت المباراة نقطة تحول في الدقيقة 66 بعد طرد المدافع البلجيكي ناثان نغوي بالبطاقة الحمراء المباشرة إثر عرقلة طارمي كآخر مدافع، ما أجبر بلجيكا على إكمال اللقاء بـ10 لاعبين. ورغم ذلك، واصل الفريق البلجيكي الضغط في الدقائق الأخيرة، وأتيحت له فرص متأخرة أبرزها تسديدة دودي لوكيباكيو في الوقت بدل الضائع مرت بجانب المرمى.
على الجانب الانضباطي، حصل كل منتخب على بطاقة صفراء واحدة، إذ نال روميلو لوكاكو إنذاراً مبكراً في الدقيقة الثالثة، بينما تلقى سعيد عزت الله بطاقة مماثلة في الشوط الأول.
ورغم السيطرة البلجيكية والنقص العددي في صفوفها، انتهت المواجهة دون أهداف، ليحصد كل فريق نقطة واحدة تبقي المنافسة مفتوحة على التأهل قبل الجولة الأخيرة من دور المجموعات.
