وبالنظر إلى النتائج، تمكّن الأمريكي نيشيش باسافاريدي من حسم تأهله إلى الدور نصف النهائي، بعد فوزه على الألماني جاستن إنجل بـ3 أشواطٍ نظيفة، ضمن مواجهات المسار «الأحمر»، فيما واصل البلجيكي ألكسندر بلوكس تميّزه بتحقيق الفوز الثالث توالياً على حساب الكرواتي دينو بريزميتش، بواقع 3 أشواطٍ مقابل شوطٍ واحد.
وفي مباريات المجموعة «الزرقاء»، نجح الأمريكي ليرنر تيين في خطف بطاقة العبور الثانية، بعد تغلبه على النرويجي نيكولاي بودكوف كيير بـ3 أشواطٍ مقابل شوطٍ واحد، ليعبر متصدراً مجموعته، فيما انتصر الإسباني رافاييل جودار على مواطنه مارتن لاندالوسي بواقع 3 أشواطٍ نظيفة.
وتنطلق مباريات الدور نصف النهائي اليوم (السبت)، إذ سيلعب البلجيكي ألكسندر بلوكس، صاحب المركز الأول في المجموعة «الحمراء»، ضد النرويجي نيكولاي بودكوف كيير، وصيف المجموعة «الزرقاء»، فيما يلتقي الأمريكي ليرنر تيين، بطل المجموعة «الزرقاء»، مواطنه نيشيش باسافاريدي وصيف المجموعة «الحمراء».
The Next Generation ATP Finals witnessed the conclusion of the group stage in the competitions held at the indoor hall of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
Looking at the results, American Nishesh Pasavaridi secured his spot in the semifinals after defeating German Justin Engel with a score of 3 sets to none in the "Red" path matches, while Belgian Alexander Blockx continued to shine by achieving his third consecutive victory against Croatian Dino Prizmic, with a score of 3 sets to 1.
In the "Blue" group matches, American Lerner Tien managed to snatch the second qualifying spot after overcoming Norwegian Nikolai Budkov Kier with a score of 3 sets to 1, finishing at the top of his group, while Spaniard Rafael Godar triumphed over his compatriot Martin Landalusi with a score of 3 sets to none.
The semifinals will kick off today (Saturday), with Belgian Alexander Blockx, the first place in the "Red" group, facing Norwegian Nikolai Budkov Kier, the runner-up of the "Blue" group, while American Lerner Tien, the champion of the "Blue" group, will meet his compatriot Nishesh Pasavaridi, the runner-up of the "Red" group.
