خاطب الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم الاتحاد الدولي (فيفا) معلناً رفضه القاطع لإقامة أي أنشطة أو فعاليات مرتبطة بدعم الشذوذ خلال مباراة منتخب مصر أمام إيران في الجولة الثالثة من دور المجموعات لكأس العالم 2026، المقرر إقامتها في مدينة سياتل الأمريكية في 26 يونيو القادم.
وأوضح الاتحاد المصري، في خطابه الموجّه إلى الأمين العام لـ«فيفا» ماتياس جرافستروم، أنه بُلّغ بوجود ترتيبات من اللجنة المحلية المنظمة لإطلاق فعاليات من هذا النوع خلال المباراة، مؤكداً أن تلك الأنشطة متعارضة مع القيم الثقافية والدينية والاجتماعية السائدة في المنطقة، ولا سيما في الدول العربية والإسلامية.
وأشار الاتحاد إلى أنه -رغم التزامه بمبدأ احترام الجميع وتوفير بيئة ترحيبية للجماهير- يرى ضرورة تجنّب إدراج فعاليات قد تُثير حساسيات ثقافية أو دينية بين مشجعي المنتخبين المصري والإيراني، لافتاً إلى أن هذه الأمور تتنافى مع ما ينص عليه النظام الأساسي لـ«فيفا»، ولا سيما المادة الرابعة التي تشدد على الحياد في القضايا السياسية والاجتماعية، ومنع استخدام كرة القدم كمنصة للترويج لقضايا خلافية.
كما استند الاتحاد المصري في مراسلته إلى القواعد التأديبية لـ«فيفا» ولوائح تنظيم الفعاليات، التي تؤكد أهمية إبقاء البطولات خالية من أي مظاهر قد تتسبب في التوتر أو سوء الفهم بين الجماهير، إضافة إلى مبدأ احترام الثقافات والتنوّع المجتمعي عند تنظيم المباريات والفعاليات المصاحبة لها.
وختم الاتحاد خطابه بالتأكيد على ضرورة أن تقتصر أجواء المباراة على الجانب الرياضي فقط، مشدداً على رفضه إقامة أي عروض أو أنشطة ذات صلة بدعم الشذوذ داخل الملعب يوم اللقاء، حفاظاً على بيئة تناسب جميع الحاضرين وتنسجم مع القيم الثقافية للبلدين المشاركين.
The Egyptian Football Association addressed FIFA, declaring its firm rejection of any activities or events related to supporting homosexuality during the match between Egypt and Iran in the third round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to take place in Seattle, USA, on June 26.
The Egyptian Association clarified in its letter to FIFA's Secretary General, Matthias Grafström, that it had been informed of arrangements by the local organizing committee to launch such activities during the match, emphasizing that these activities are contrary to the prevailing cultural, religious, and social values in the region, particularly in Arab and Islamic countries.
The Association pointed out that, despite its commitment to the principle of respecting everyone and providing a welcoming environment for fans, it sees the necessity of avoiding the inclusion of events that may provoke cultural or religious sensitivities among the supporters of the Egyptian and Iranian teams, noting that these matters contradict what is stipulated in FIFA's statutes, particularly Article 4, which emphasizes neutrality in political and social issues and prohibits the use of football as a platform to promote controversial issues.
The Egyptian Association also referenced FIFA's disciplinary rules and event organization regulations in its correspondence, which affirm the importance of keeping tournaments free from any manifestations that could cause tension or misunderstandings among fans, in addition to the principle of respecting cultures and societal diversity when organizing matches and accompanying events.
The Association concluded its letter by emphasizing the necessity for the atmosphere of the match to be limited to the sporting aspect only, stressing its rejection of any performances or activities related to supporting homosexuality inside the stadium on the day of the match, in order to maintain an environment suitable for all attendees and consistent with the cultural values of the participating countries.
