تأهل القادسية إلى الدور ربع النهائي من كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين بعد فوزه على ضيفه الحزم 3-1، في اللقاء الذي جمعهما على ملعب الأمير محمد بن فهد بالدمام.
تقدم الحزم أولاً عن طريق نواف الحبشي في الدقيقة 9، قبل أن يعود القادسية إلى أجواء اللقاء عبر الأرجنتيني ماثيو ريتيجي الذي أدرك التعادل في الدقيقة 22.
وفي الشوط الثاني فرض القادسية أفضليته بوضوح، وسجل مهاجمه المكسيكي جوليان كينونيس هدفين متتاليين في الدقيقتين 54 و63 من ركلة جزاء، ليؤكد تفوق فريقه ويقوده إلى فوز مستحق.
بهذا الانتصار واصل القادسية عروضه القوية هذا الموسم، مؤكداً جاهزيته للمنافسة في البطولة، فيما غادر الحزم المسابقة بعد أداء جيد في فترات من اللقاء.
Al-Qadisiyah qualified for the quarter-finals of the King Abdulaziz Cup after defeating their guest Al-Hazm 3-1, in the match held at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.
Al-Hazm took the lead first through Nawaf Al-Habshi in the 9th minute, before Al-Qadisiyah returned to the game with Argentine player Matheus Rittig, who equalized in the 22nd minute.
In the second half, Al-Qadisiyah clearly imposed their superiority, with their Mexican striker Julian Quinones scoring two consecutive goals in the 54th and 63rd minutes from a penalty, confirming his team's dominance and leading them to a deserved victory.
With this victory, Al-Qadisiyah continued their strong performances this season, confirming their readiness to compete in the tournament, while Al-Hazm exited the competition after a good performance at times during the match.
