أنقذ الدولي البرتغالي روبن نيفيز (28 عاماً) لاعب وسط فريق الهلال منتخب بلاده من إهدار نقطتين أمام ضيفه منتخب إيرلندا، بتسجيله الهدف الأول في مسيرته مع البرتغال 1ـ0، في المواجهة التي جاءت ضمن الجولة الثالثة من تصفيات أوروبا المؤهلة لكأس العالم 2026.
وأهدى نيفيز هدفه الأول على مدى 59 مباراة دولية مع منتخب البرتغال لروح صديقه الراحل ديوغو جوتا الذي توفي بسبب حادث سير مروع بإسبانيا.
وجاء هدف نيفيز الحاسم في الدقائق الأولى من الوقت المحتسب بدل الضائع، عبر رأسية حوّلها داخل الشباك الإيرلندية.
