حققت طالبات جامعة طيبة بالمدينة المنورة المركز الأول والميدالية الذهبية في بطولة الشطرنج، التي نظّمها الاتحاد السعودي للرياضة الجامعية، واستضافتها جامعة جدة، بمشاركة أكثر من 130 لاعبة يمثلن 30 جامعة سعودية.
وجاء فوز منتخب جامعة طيبة للشطرنج «طالبات» بعد منافسة قوية أظهرت مستوى متميزًا في الأداء والمهارة، مثّل الجامعة كلٌّ من الطالبات: أبرار الغامدي من كلية التمريض، وتالا الوصابي ولمى الأحمدي من كلية الهندسة، وزينب الشنقيطي من كلية علوم الحاسب.
وهنأت رئيسة جامعة طيبة الدكتورة نوال الرشيد الطالبات الفائزات، معربةً عن فخرها بما حققنه من إنجاز يضاف إلى سجل تميز الجامعة في المحافل الأكاديمية والرياضية.

The female students of Taibah University in Medina achieved first place and the gold medal in the chess championship organized by the Saudi Federation for University Sports, hosted by Jeddah University, with participation from over 130 players representing 30 Saudi universities.
The victory of the Taibah University chess team (female students) came after a strong competition that showcased an outstanding level of performance and skill. The university was represented by the following students: Abrar Al-Ghamdi from the College of Nursing, Tala Al-Wasabi and Lama Al-Ahmadi from the College of Engineering, and Zainab Al-Shanqeeti from the College of Computer Science.
The President of Taibah University, Dr. Nawal Al-Rasheed, congratulated the winning students, expressing her pride in their achievement, which adds to the university's record of excellence in academic and sports arenas.
