The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Federation issued a disciplinary decision regarding Bisha Club, following the team's refusal to play its match against Al-Saqr last Saturday as part of the first round of the second division league, which led to the cancellation of the match, according to reports from the match officials.
According to sources from "Okaz," Bisha Club's inability to play the match was due to its failure to obtain the financial efficiency certificate that would enable it to register its players and officially participate in the competition.
The decision's rationale stated that Bisha Club violated the provisions of Article (59-1) of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations, after it was confirmed that it refused to play the match without an acceptable justification.
Based on this, the committee decided the following:
1. Confirmation of Bisha Club's violation of Article (59-1) of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations.
2. Obligation for Bisha Club to pay a financial penalty of (250,000) two hundred and fifty thousand Saudi Riyals to the account of the Saudi Football Federation.
3. Consideration of Bisha Club as losing the match with a score of (3-0) in favor of Al-Saqr Club.
4. Deduction of (3) points from Bisha Club's balance in the second division league competition.
5. The decision is subject to appeal in accordance with the provisions of Article (144) of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations.
The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee confirmed that this decision comes as part of its commitment to applying the regulations and systems in force within the Saudi Football Federation, ensuring fairness and discipline within local competitions.
