حقق الاتحاد السعودي للتنس إنجازا عالميّا جديدا بتقدم قائد المنتخب السعودي عمار الحقباني إلى قائمة أفضل (200) لاعب في التصنيف الدولي الصادر عن الاتحاد الدولي للتنس ITF، بعد فوزه على اللاعب الكازاخستاني جريجوري لوماكيف وتأهله إلى الدور ربع النهائي في بطولة قيصري الدولية بتركيا، ضمن بطولات رابطة اللاعبين المحترفين ATP.
وجاء هذا الإنجاز إثر الأداء المميز الذي قدمه الحقباني، إذ تمكن من حسم اللقاء بمجموعتين دون رد (7-5) و(6-3)، ليحقق بذلك فوزه الدولي رقم (100) كأول لاعب سعودي يبلغ هذا الرقم القياسي.
وأعرب الحقباني عن سعادته بالانضمام إلى قائمة أفضل (200) لاعب عالميّا، مقدما شكره وتقديره للقيادة الرشيدة، ولوزير الرياضة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي بن فيصل بن عبدالعزيز، على ما يحظى به اللاعبون السعوديون من دعم واهتمام، مثمنا الجهود التي يقدمها الاتحاد السعودي للتنس برئاسة المهندس محمد السراح.
من جهته، أكد رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للتنس المهندس محمد السراح، أن هذا الإنجاز يأتي متماشيا مع النهضة الرياضية الشاملة التي تشهدها المملكة، مشيرا إلى أن الدعم الكبير من وزارة الرياضة يفتح آفاقا واسعة أمام لاعبي المنتخب السعودي لمواصلة التقدم وتحقيق الإنجازات، مهنئا الحقباني على دخوله قائمة أفضل (200) لاعب عالميّا، مؤكدا أن هذا النجاح يمثل خطوة أولى في مسيرة جديدة من الطموحات والتحديات لرياضة التنس السعودية.

The Saudi Tennis Federation has achieved a new global milestone with the advancement of the captain of the Saudi national team, Ammar Al-Haqbani, to the list of the top (200) players in the international ranking issued by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), following his victory over Kazakh player Gregory Lomakev and his qualification for the quarter-finals of the Kayseri International Championship in Turkey, part of the ATP professional players' tournaments.
This achievement came as a result of the outstanding performance that Al-Haqbani delivered, as he managed to win the match in straight sets (7-5) and (6-3), thus achieving his international victory number (100), becoming the first Saudi player to reach this record.
Al-Haqbani expressed his happiness at joining the list of the top (200) players globally, extending his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership, and to the Minister of Sports, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, for the support and attention that Saudi players receive, praising the efforts made by the Saudi Tennis Federation under the presidency of Engineer Mohammed Al-Sarrah.
