أكد تقرير صحفي اقتراب النادي الأهلي المصري من التعاقد مع برونو لاجي، مدرب بنفيكا البرتغالي السابق، لقيادة الفريق الأول لكرة القدم.
وبحسب صحيفة «O Jogo» البرتغالية، عرض الأهلي على لاجي راتباً سنوياً قدره 4.8 مليون يورو، في حين يطالب المدرب البرتغالي بالحصول على 5 ملايين يورو سنوياً.
وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن مدرب بنفيكا السابق كان يفضل مواصلة مشواره التدريبي في أوروبا، وسبق له رفض عدة عروض من خارج القارة العجوز، إلا أن إصرار إدارة الأهلي على التعاقد معه بدأ يؤتي ثماره، وقد تُحسم الصفقة خلال الساعات القادمة.
وفي حال إتمام الاتفاق، سيصبح لاجي المدرب الأعلى أجراً في تاريخ النادي الأهلي، إذ فضّلت الإدارة التعاقد مع اسم صاحب خبرة وسيرة ذاتية قوية على الساحة العالمية، بدلاً من تكرار تجربة التعاقد مع مدربين مغمورين، كما حدث مع الإسباني خوسيه ريبيرو، الذي لم يستمر سوى بضعة أشهر قبل إقالته.
A press report confirmed that Egyptian club Al Ahly is close to signing Bruno Lage, the former coach of Portuguese club Benfica, to lead the first football team.
According to the Portuguese newspaper “O Jogo”, Al Ahly offered Lage an annual salary of 4.8 million euros, while the Portuguese coach is demanding 5 million euros per year.
The newspaper indicated that the former Benfica coach preferred to continue his coaching career in Europe and had previously rejected several offers from outside the old continent. However, the insistence of Al Ahly's management on signing him has begun to bear fruit, and the deal could be finalized in the coming hours.
If the agreement is completed, Lage will become the highest-paid coach in the history of Al Ahly, as the management preferred to sign a name with experience and a strong resume on the global stage, rather than repeating the experience of hiring obscure coaches, as happened with the Spaniard José Ribeiro, who lasted only a few months before being dismissed.
