قلب الفتح تأخره بهدف أمام مضيّفه الجبلين لفوز بهدفين لهدف، في اللقاء الذي أقيم بينهما على استاد الأمير عبدالعزيز بن مساعد بن جلوي بحائل، ضمن لقاءات دور الـ32 من كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين.
أحرز هدفَي الفتح ماتياس فارغاس (د:43) وكارل إيكامبي (د:82)، فيما جاء هدف الجبلين عن طريق الشيخ توريه (د:30).
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية للفتح الذي سيطر على مجريات اللقاء، فيما اعتمد الجبلين على الهجمات المرتدة، وسدد مروان سعدان مدافع الفتح كرة قوية من منتصف ملعب الجبلين تمكن الحارس محمد الواكد من الإمساك بها، وواصل الفتح ضغطه ولعب إيكامبي كرة ذكية لكنها ارتطمت في الحارس لتعود الكرة لعثمان العثمان الذي سددها قوية مرت فوق العارضة، ومن غلطة غريبة من اللاعب سفيان بن دبكة عندما أراد إعادة الكرة للدفاع لكنه لعبها لمهاجم الجبلين الشيخ توريه لينطلق بالكرة ويواجه الحارس فيرناندو باتشيكو ويسددها الكرة في المرمى هدفاً للجبلين (د:30)، ومن هجمة منظمة مرر سفيان بن دبكة الكرة لمراد باتنا الذي لعبها عرضية لتصل للمهاجم فارغاس الذي سيطر على الكرة وسددها قوية في المرمى هدف تعادل للفتح (د:43)، وفي الشوط الثاني سدد بن دبكة كرة أرضية تصدى لها الحارس وأكملها إيكامبي في المرمى لكن بعد العودة لتقنية الفيديو تم إلغاء الهدف لوجود مراد باتنا في موقع التسلل في بداية اللعبة، وعاد إيكامبي ليهز شباك الجبلين مرة أخرى بعد عرضية عالية من فارغاس حولها إيكامبي برأسه داخل المرمى هدفاً ثانياً للفتح (د:82)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز الفتح بهدفين لهدف ويتأهل لدور الـ16، فيما غادر الجبلين منافسات البطولة.
Al-Fateh came from behind to win 2-1 against their hosts Al-Jabalain in a match held at Prince Abdulaziz bin Musaid bin Jalawi Stadium in Hail, as part of the Round of 32 of the King’s Cup.
Al-Fateh's goals were scored by Matias Vargas (43') and Karl Ikambi (82'), while Al-Jabalain's goal came from Sheikh Toure (30').
The match witnessed a strong start from Al-Fateh, who dominated the proceedings, while Al-Jabalain relied on counter-attacks. Marwan Saadan, Al-Fateh's defender, took a powerful shot from the middle of Al-Jabalain's half that goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Waked managed to catch. Al-Fateh continued to apply pressure, and Ikambi played a clever ball that hit the goalkeeper, allowing the ball to return to Osman Al-Othman, who took a strong shot that went over the bar. A strange mistake occurred when player Sofiane Bendebka attempted to pass the ball back to the defense but instead played it to Al-Jabalain's striker Sheikh Toure, who took the ball and faced goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco, scoring a goal for Al-Jabalain (30'). From an organized attack, Sofiane Bendebka passed the ball to Murad Batna, who delivered a cross that reached striker Vargas, who controlled the ball and fired a strong shot into the net, equalizing for Al-Fateh (43'). In the second half, Bendebka took a ground shot that was saved by the goalkeeper, and Ikambi followed it up into the net, but after reviewing the video technology, the goal was disallowed due to Murad Batna being in an offside position at the start of the play. Ikambi returned to shake the net of Al-Jabalain again after a high cross from Vargas, which Ikambi headed into the net for Al-Fateh's second goal (82'). The match ended with Al-Fateh winning 2-1 and qualifying for the Round of 16, while Al-Jabalain exited the tournament.
