انتصر الهلال على مضيفه العدالة بهدف دون مقابل، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على ملعب مدينة الأمير عبدالله بن جلوي الرياضية بالأحساء، ضمن لقاءات دور الـ32 من كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين، وبذلك يتأهل الهلال لدور الـ16.
شهد اللقاء سيطرة هلالية رغم إراحة المدرب الإيطالي عدداً كبيراً من اللاعبين الأساسيين، وكاد عبدالله الحمدان يهز الشباك مبكراً بعد أن لعب كرة مقصية لكنها مرت بجوار القائم، وسدد كنو كرة ثابتة للهلال ارتطمت في القائم الأول ووصلت للقائد علي البليهي الذي سددها في المرمى وتصدى لها الحارس، لتعود لكايو الذي أسكنها الشباك، ولكن بعد العودة لتقنية الفيديو تم إلغاء الهدف لوجود البليهي في حالة تسلل.
ومن مجهود فردي رائع تسلم عبدالله الحمدان الكرة من محمد كنو من خارج منطقة الجزاء وسددها قوية في الزاوية البعيدة عن الحارس هدفاً للهلال (د:44)، وسدد كنو كرة قوية مرت بجوار القائم، وواصل الهلال ضغطه وسدد عبدالكريم دارسي كرة قوية مرت بجوار القائم على يمين الحارس، وسدد محمد القحطاني كرة قوية أبعدها الحارس بصعوبة لركلة زاوية، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز الهلال بهدف دون مقابل، وبذلك يتأهل لدور الـ16، فيما غادر العدالة منافسات البطولة.

Al-Hilal defeated its host Al-Adalah with a goal to nil in the match held at the Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium in Al-Ahsa, as part of the Round of 32 of the King Abdulaziz Cup. With this victory, Al-Hilal qualifies for the Round of 16.
The match witnessed Al-Hilal's dominance despite the Italian coach resting a large number of key players. Abdullah Al-Hamdan nearly shook the net early on with a bicycle kick that went just past the post. Kanno took a free kick for Al-Hilal that hit the first post and reached captain Ali Al-Bulaihi, who shot it on goal but was denied by the goalkeeper. The ball returned to Caio, who found the back of the net, but after reviewing the video technology, the goal was disallowed due to Al-Bulaihi being in an offside position.
In a brilliant individual effort, Abdullah Al-Hamdan received the ball from Mohammed Kanno outside the penalty area and struck it powerfully into the far corner of the net for Al-Hilal's goal (44'). Kanno then fired a strong shot that went just past the post, and Al-Hilal continued to apply pressure with Abdulkarim Darsi sending a powerful shot that went wide of the goalkeeper's right post. Mohammed Al-Qahtani also took a strong shot that the goalkeeper managed to deflect for a corner kick. The match ended with Al-Hilal winning by one goal to nil, thus qualifying for the Round of 16, while Al-Adalah exited the tournament.
