تغادر بعثة المنتخب الوطني تحت 17 عامًا، اليوم (الخميس)، للمشاركة في بطولة كأس الخليج العربي والمقامة في قطر خلال الفترة من 20 سبتمبر حتى 3 أكتوبر.
وكانت قد أوقعت القرعة أخضر الناشئين في المجموعة الثانية، حيث يلتقي في افتتاح مشواره بالبطولة المنتخب البحريني يوم 20 سبتمبر على استاد سحيم بن حمد، ومن ثم يواجه المنتخب الكويتي يوم الثلاثاء 23 سبتمبر في ثاني مبارياته على استاد حمد الكبير، وفي الملعب ذاته يختتم دور المجموعات بمواجهة المنتخب العراقي يوم الجمعة 26 سبتمبر.
وضمت قائمة المدرب عبدالوهاب الحربي (23) لاعبًا، جاءت أسماؤهم على النحو التالي: وافي الأكلبي، عبدالرحمن العتيبي، محمد العتيبي، أبوبكر سعيد، أسامة الدغمة، عادل هبه، ناصر الفيحاني، عبدالعزيز عسيري، ياسر عوض، إبراهيم عزام، محمد الخلف، عبدالعزيز الفواز، سعيد الدوسري، محمد مدخلي، ماهر طواشي، عبدالله هزازي، حبيب آل نتيف، عبدالرحمن سفياني، أحمد عشي، صبري دهل، وليد النور، عبدالهادي مطري، ومختار برناوي.
وكان المنتخب الوطني تحت 17 عامًا أقام معسكرًا إعداديًا على مرحلتين، الأولى في الطائف، والثانية في مدينة ليموج الفرنسية تخللها المشاركة في بطولة ليموج الودية.

The national under-17 team departs today (Thursday) to participate in the Gulf Cup, which is being held in Qatar from September 20 to October 3.
The draw placed the young Green Falcons in Group B, where they will kick off their campaign against the Bahraini team on September 20 at Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium. They will then face the Kuwaiti team on Tuesday, September 23, in their second match at Hamad Al-Kabeer Stadium, and will conclude the group stage with a match against the Iraqi team on Friday, September 26, at the same venue.
Coach Abdulwahab Al-Harbi's squad includes 23 players, whose names are as follows: Wafi Al-Aklabi, Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, Mohammed Al-Otaibi, Abubakar Saeed, Osama Al-Daghma, Adel Habah, Nasser Al-Fihani, Abdulaziz Asiri, Yasser Awad, Ibrahim Azzam, Mohammed Al-Khalaf, Abdulaziz Al-Fawaz, Saeed Al-Dosari, Mohammed Madkhali, Maher Tawashi, Abdullah Hazazi, Habib Al-Nateef, Abdulrahman Sufiani, Ahmed Ashi, Sabri Dahl, Walid Al-Noor, Abdulhadi Matar, and Mukhtar Barnawi.
