The coach of Al-Nassr, Jorge Jesus, confirmed his team's readiness today (Wednesday) to face Tajikistan's Istiklol in the AFC Champions League 2 competition.
The Portuguese coach stated during the press conference held at the club's headquarters: "I am happy to be here with you in the media, and Al-Nassr should be present in the elite AFC Champions League, not AFC Champions League 2. We will be ready and will work hard to make Al-Nassr's fans happy with a win."
Jesus added, highlighting the importance of the competitions: "All tournaments are important, and among our goals is to achieve the Saudi league and AFC Champions League 2, which can be compared to the Arab championship that Al-Nassr won previously."
He continued, explaining the abundance of players in his squad: "At Al-Nassr, we have a large group that I can rely on, and it is normal for us to play a match every 3 days, as is the case here and in the rest of the world. We have stars I can coordinate between."
He also pointed to the team's physical and technical readiness, saying: "In the field of technology, there is no secret. We played two days ago, and the next day was dedicated to recovery, and there is nothing we can imagine. We will implement our ideas and aspire to win the match, and sometimes football imposes circumstances on us. All the goalkeepers are ready, and I will decide who will participate based on the last training."
Jesus went on to clarify the situation regarding the starting lineup: "At the moment, I do not have a fixed lineup. As for Haroun Kamara, he is one of the players the club has recently signed, and I thank the management for bringing him in because he will be an important addition to the team."
For his part, player Haroun Kamara confirmed during his presence at the press conference alongside Jesus: "We are all ready, and we will give our best to deliver an outstanding performance and achieve victory to make the fans happy. We will work hard, and the decision remains with the coach, and I will make sure to meet his expectations and those of everyone."
