In the committee's statement, it was mentioned that the referee should have stopped the play at a clear moment when the ball was in the air, noting that keeping the referee's whistle in his mouth for several seconds without making a decision confused the players and caused widespread controversy.

With this acknowledgment, the committee has admitted that Montero's decisions favored Barcelona and affected the course of the match, which ended with a clean three-goal victory for the Catalan team.
