أكد الوكيل المساعد للاستثمار والتخصيص في وزارة الرياضة إبراهيم المعيقل أن الوزارة منفتحة على مختلف فئات المستثمرين، بما في ذلك التحالفات بين الشركات والصناديق الاستثمارية والعوائل التجارية الراغبة في الاستثمار والاستحواذ على الأندية الرياضية.
وقال المعيقل لـ«عكاظ» إن الوزارة تعقد لقاءات واجتماعات مستمرة مع مستثمرين محليين ودوليين، مبيناً أن تشكيل التحالفات الاستثمارية يعتمد على طبيعة المستثمر ورغبته في بناء فريق استثماري مناسب لإدارة النادي وتطويره.
وأوضح أن التخصيص ليس هدفاً بحد ذاته، وإنما وسيلة لتطوير الأندية الرياضية إدارياً ومالياً ورياضياً، مؤكداً أن نجاح التجربة خلال السنوات القادمة لن يُقاس فقط بعدد البطولات المحققة، بل بقدرة الأندية على تحسين أدائها الإداري والمالي وتطبيق أفضل الممارسات العالمية وتحقيق الاستدامة.
وأضاف أن الاستثمار في الأكاديميات وتطوير المواهب والمشاريع طويلة الأمد يعد من المؤشرات المهمة لنجاح التخصيص، مشيراً إلى أن بناء أندية أكثر استقراراً واستدامة يمثل أحد أبرز مستهدفات المشروع.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Investment and Privatization at the Ministry of Sports, Ibrahim Al-Muqail, confirmed that the ministry is open to various categories of investors, including alliances between companies, investment funds, and commercial families interested in investing in and acquiring sports clubs.
Al-Muqail told "Okaz" that the ministry holds continuous meetings and discussions with local and international investors, indicating that the formation of investment alliances depends on the nature of the investor and their desire to build a suitable investment team to manage and develop the club.
He clarified that privatization is not an end in itself, but rather a means to develop sports clubs administratively, financially, and athletically, emphasizing that the success of the experience in the coming years will not only be measured by the number of championships achieved but also by the clubs' ability to improve their administrative and financial performance, implement best global practices, and achieve sustainability.
He added that investment in academies, talent development, and long-term projects is one of the important indicators of successful privatization, noting that building more stable and sustainable clubs represents one of the main objectives of the project.
