تأهل منتخبا الشرقية وجدة إلى نهائي بطولة المنتخبات الإقليمية تحت 14 عاماً في نسختها الأولى، التي ينظمها الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم في المنطقة الشرقية، بعد تفوقهما على الرياض والقصيم، وتُقام المباراة النهائية يوم غدٍ الأحد عند الساعة 8.30 مساءً، على ملعب مدينة الأمير سعود بن جلوي في مدينة الخبر.
وجاء تأهل الشرقية بعدما كسب نظيره الرياض بنتيجة 1/3، إذ سجل للشرقية فيصل كاملي وفاضل عباس، إضافة لهدف عكسي من حارس الرياض أحرزه يزن العوض بالخطأ في مرماه، فيما سجل هدف الرياض الوحيد اللاعب نواف ناجي، وبدأ منتخب الشرقية مشواره في البطولة بالفوز على القصيم بهدف دون مقابل جاء عن طريق اللاعب فاضل عباس، فيما تعادل في الجولة الثانية مع منتخب الطائف دون أهداف، وفي اللقاء الأخير من دور المجموعات تفوق منتخب الشرقية على نظيره عسير بهدفين دون رد جاء عن طريق علي حسن وإبراهيم محمد.
فيما تأهل منتخب جدة بعدما تجاوز نظيره القصيم بهدف دون رد سجله اللاعب علي بشير، وبدأ منتخب جدة مشواره بالتعادل مع منتخب الرياض بهدف لكل منهما وسجل لمنتخب جدة اللاعب حاتم حسن، ومن ثم انتصر منتخب جدة على نظيره الأحساء بهدفين دون رد جاء الهدفان عن طريق مروان المولد ويحىى منصور، وفي المباراة الأخيرة تعادل منتخب جدة مع نظيره الحدود الشمالية بهدف لكل منهما وأحرز هدف جدة اللاعب علي بشير ليتصدر جدة فرق المجموعة بأفضلية فارق الأهداف.
يذكر أن بطولة المنتخبات الإقليمية تحت 14 عاماً، تُقام لأول مرة، وهي امتداد لبطولة تحت 13 عاماً، إذ يسعى الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم من هذه البطولات إلى توسيع دائرة المشاركة واكتشاف المواهب في سن مبكرة بما يساهم في بناء جيل واعد قادر على تمثيل المنتخبات الوطنية مستقبلاً.
The teams from Al-Sharqiya and Jeddah have qualified for the final of the Under-14 Regional Teams Championship in its first edition, organized by the Saudi Football Federation in the Eastern Province, after their victories over Riyadh and Al-Qassim. The final match will take place tomorrow, Sunday, at 8:30 PM, at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Khobar.
Al-Sharqiya's qualification came after defeating Riyadh with a score of 1-3, with goals scored by Faisal Kamli and Fadel Abbas, in addition to an own goal by Riyadh's goalkeeper Yazan Al-Awad, who mistakenly scored in his own net. The only goal for Riyadh was scored by player Nawaf Naji. Al-Sharqiya began its journey in the tournament by winning against Al-Qassim with a score of 1-0, thanks to a goal from Fadel Abbas. They then drew in the second round with the Taif team without any goals, and in the final match of the group stage, Al-Sharqiya defeated Asir with a score of 2-0, with goals from Ali Hassan and Ibrahim Mohammed.
Meanwhile, the Jeddah team qualified after overcoming Al-Qassim with a score of 1-0, with the goal scored by player Ali Bashir. Jeddah started its journey by drawing with Riyadh, with each team scoring one goal; Jeddah's goal was scored by player Hatim Hassan. Jeddah then won against Al-Ahsa with a score of 2-0, with both goals scored by Marwan Al-Muallad and Yahya Mansour. In the last match, Jeddah drew with the Northern Borders team, with each team scoring one goal; Jeddah's goal was scored by Ali Bashir, allowing Jeddah to top the group with a better goal difference.
It is worth noting that the Under-14 Regional Teams Championship is being held for the first time and is an extension of the Under-13 Championship. The Saudi Football Federation aims through these tournaments to expand participation and discover talents at an early age, contributing to the development of a promising generation capable of representing national teams in the future.
