تنطلق نهائيات بطولة المنتخبات الإقليمية تحت 13 عاماً في نسختها الثانية غداً، وينظمها الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم في محافظة الطائف، بمشاركة 8 منتخبات إقليمية هي: الرياض، وجدة، والشرقية، والقصيم، والأحساء، وعسير، والمدينة المنورة، والجوف.
وأُجريت الخميس الماضي قرعة البطولة، وقُسمت المنتخبات إلى مجموعتين، تضم كل مجموعة 4 منتخبات، إذ تضم المجموعة الأولى منتخبات الشرقية والقصيم والجوف وعسير، فيما ضمت المجموعة الثانية منتخبات الرياض وجدة والمدينة المنورة والأحساء.
وتستمر منافسات البطولة حتى الأحد 21 يوليو، وتُقام البطولة من دور واحد، وسيلتقي في نصف النهائي متصدر المجموعة الأولى مع وصيف المجموعة الثانية، في حين يواجه متصدر المجموعة الثانية وصيف المجموعة الأولى، على أن يتأهل الفائزان إلى المباراة النهائية لحسم اللقب.
وتأتي بطولة المنتخبات الإقليمية تحت 13 عاماً، في نسختها الثانية ضمن جهود وأهداف الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم في مسار تطوير المواهب واكتشافها في سن مبكرة، سعياً لتكوين قاعدة قوية من اللاعبين وسط بيئة رياضية تسهم في صقل وتكوين هذه المواهب.
وكانت منتخبات الرياض وجدة والشرقية والقصيم، تأهلت مباشرة للنهائيات نظير خوضها عدد مباريات أكثر في دوري البراعم، فيما جاء تأهل منتخبات الجوف والأحساء وعسير والمدينة المنورة بعد تجاوزها التصفيات المؤهلة للأدوار النهائية من البطولة.
من جانبهم ناقش مدربو الفرق المشاركة؛ أحمد بن نصيب (منتخب الرياض)، ونايف الدحيم (منتخب الشرقية)، و طلال المشعل (منتخب جدة)، وعبدالله الدخيل (منتخب القصيم)، وسند العنزي (منتخب الجوف)، وأحمد المبارك (منتخب الأحساء)، وعامر الكثيري (منتخب عسير)، وفارس الصاعدي (منتخب المدينة المنورة)، خلال المؤتمر الذي عقد، آلية اختيار اللاعبين في البطولة التي جاءت بناء على تقارير فنية ومتابعة دقيقة لمنافسات دوريات البراعم التي أنتجت هذه الفرق، كما تطرقوا للحديث عن أهم التحديات التي تواجه عملهم وتتمثل في الحفاظ على اللاعبين في هذا العمر، واختيار الأساليب الصحيحة في التعامل معهم، إضافة لزرع روح التنافس وإيضاح أهمية الانضباط والالتزام في مسيرة اللاعب، مؤكدين أن المشاركة في البطولات تعزز ثقة اللاعب بنفسه، وتمنحه تجربة تنافسية حقيقية، كما تساهم في بناء شخصية اللاعب وصقل موهبته. وكشف مدربو المنتخبات الثمانية أن اللاعبين يدخلون البطولة برغبة وحماس ظهرا بشكل واضح خلال المباريات السابقة والتدريبات اليومية من أجل الظهور بأفضل صورة في منافسات البطولة.

The finals of the Under-13 Regional Teams Championship in its second edition will kick off tomorrow, organized by the Saudi Football Federation in the city of Taif, with the participation of 8 regional teams: Riyadh, Jeddah, Eastern Province, Qassim, Ahsa, Asir, Medina, and Al-Jouf.
The draw for the championship was held last Thursday, and the teams were divided into two groups, each consisting of 4 teams. The first group includes the Eastern Province, Qassim, Al-Jouf, and Asir, while the second group includes Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina, and Ahsa.
The championship will continue until Sunday, July 21, and it will be played in a single round format. In the semifinals, the group A winner will face the group B runner-up, while the group B winner will face the group A runner-up, with the two winners advancing to the final match to determine the champion.
The Under-13 Regional Teams Championship, in its second edition, is part of the efforts and objectives of the Saudi Football Federation in developing and discovering talents at an early age, aiming to build a strong base of players in a sports environment that contributes to refining and nurturing these talents.
The teams from Riyadh, Jeddah, Eastern Province, and Qassim qualified directly for the finals due to playing more matches in the Youth League, while the teams from Al-Jouf, Ahsa, Asir, and Medina qualified after passing the qualifying rounds for the final stages of the championship.
During the conference held, the coaches of the participating teams; Ahmed bin Naseeb (Riyadh), Nayef Al-Duhaim (Eastern Province), Talal Al-Mashal (Jeddah), Abdullah Al-Dakhil (Qassim), Sand Al-Anzi (Al-Jouf), Ahmed Al-Mubarak (Ahsa), Amer Al-Kathiri (Asir), and Fares Al-Saadi (Medina), discussed the mechanism for selecting players in the championship, which was based on technical reports and careful monitoring of the Youth League competitions that produced these teams. They also talked about the main challenges they face, which include retaining players at this age, choosing the right methods to deal with them, instilling a spirit of competition, and clarifying the importance of discipline and commitment in a player's journey. They emphasized that participation in championships enhances the player's self-confidence and provides them with a real competitive experience, as well as contributes to building the player's character and refining their talent. The coaches of the eight teams revealed that the players enter the championship with a desire and enthusiasm that have been clearly evident during previous matches and daily training sessions to present themselves in the best light in the championship competitions.
