This is based on a decision by the Ministry of Sports to transfer the responsibilities of the Financial Sustainability Committee to the association under the name "Financial Oversight Committee," and to amend the financial efficiency regulations to include oversight of the financial activities of football, as well as to grant financial efficiency certificates to clubs through the league association. This step aims to enhance governance and facilitate regulatory procedures, and the scope of this assignment is limited to football activities in the league clubs.

The association clarified that the oversight of the financial regulations will be conducted through the "Financial Oversight Committee," which includes representatives from the Ministry of Sports, the Saudi Football Federation, and the Saudi Professional League Association, in addition to independent members. This committee is responsible for monitoring financial obligations, granting financial efficiency certificates, and applying the provisions of the financial regulations for the clubs of the Saudi Professional League Association. This step aims to unify requirements and provide a single reference that contributes to improving the speed of achievement and raising the level of compliance, thereby supporting a professional working environment for the clubs.

This assignment is an extension of the successes achieved over the past years and confirms the executive role of the association in supporting governance and enhancing financial stability through regulatory standards that will be gradually applied over the coming seasons. These include the development of financial planning tools and encouraging investment in the administrative resources of the clubs.

The association also continues to oversee the monitoring of overdue entitlements and the granting of financial efficiency certificates, according to the same previously approved scope, as part of ensuring compliance with the payment of financial obligations within the legal deadlines, which is a fundamental condition for continued compliance.
