The الهلال is waiting for the player Théo Hernandez to approve the offer made by the club to acquire his services for 35 million euros, including bonuses. The Milan club intends to benefit from selling Hernandez before the end of his contract in the summer of 2026 to avoid a free transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano, an expert in player transfers. It is worth mentioning that the player was attracting interest from Atlético Madrid and wishes to continue in Europe to maintain his level. However, after following "the leader" in the Club World Cup, especially after the match against Real Madrid, Théo changed his mind and agreed to the Al-Hilal offer.

It is noted that Al-Hilal drew with their Austrian counterpart Salzburg with a score of 0-0 in the match held at Audi Field, as part of the second round of the group stage in the 2025 Club World Cup.

With this result, Al-Hilal's points tally reached two, placing them in third place, while Salzburg raised their points to four, securing second place.
