بعد أربعة أيام من رفع كأس دوري روشن للمحترفين، عاد بنزيما مجدداً وأكد أحقيته برفع كأس الملك، بعد أن قاد فريقه لفوز مستحق على القادسية في المباراة التي جمعتهما على استاد مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة بحضور الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبد العزيز آل سعود ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء ـ حفظه الله، إذ أضاف «بنزيما» بصماته التهديفية من جديد، بعد أن سجل هدفين، حيث سبق له أن سجل 11 هدفًا في النهائيات الختامية لبطولات محلية وقارية وعالمية، ومن بينها هدفان على الأراضي السعودية في كأس السوبر الإسباني، فيما كان فريق الهلال آخر ضحاياه في النهائيات، عندما سجل في شباك عبد الله المعيوف في نسخة العام 2022 من كأس العالم للأندية.
ويرجع تاريخ أول هدف سجله بنزيما في مباراة نهائية إلى 30 يوليو 2006، وكان في الـ 18 من عمره عندما أدرك التعادل لليون أمام باريس سان جيرمان في الدقيقة 71 من لقاء الفريقيْن في كأس السوبر الفرنسي.
