تنفس فريق الخليج الصعداء بعد أن قلب تأخره بهدف من أمام مضيفه العروبة لفوز بهدفين لهدف في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد جامعة الجوف، ضمن لقاءات الجولة 32 لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية لصاحب الأرض والجمهور فريق العروبة الذي تحصل على ركلة زاوية مبكرة نفذها كريستيان تيلو وعكسها برأسه إسماعيل قندوس في المرمى كهدف أول للعروبة (د 2)، ليسيطر الخليج على مجريات اللقاء ويتحصل على ركلة جزاء تقدم لها كوستاس وسددها بنجاح على يمين الحارس كوكي الذي طار لها ولكن عجز عن التصدي لها لتسكن الشباك كهدف أول وتعادل للخليج (د: 31)، وفي الشوط الثاني واصل فريق الخليج ضغطه ومن ركلة زاوية نفذها كوستاس ليمررها لزميله بيدرو ريبوتشو الذي أعادها لكوستاس ليدخل منطقة الجزاء ويسددها أرضية قوية لتسكن شباك العروبة كهدف شخصي ثانٍ له ولفريقه الخليج (د: 75)، ورغم محاولات العروبة للعودة للقاء إلا إن دفاعات الخليج حالت دون ذلك لينتهي اللقاء بفوز الخليج بنتيجة هدفين مقابل هدف.
وبهذه النتيجة يحقق الخليج فوزه الـ10 ويصل للنقطة 38 ليقفز لمركز الـ10 ويضمن البقاء في دوري المحترفين، فيما تلقى العروبة الخسارة الـ20 وتجمد رصيده عند 30 نقطة وفي المركز الـ16 وبات من المهددين بالهبوط لا سيما وأنه يتبقى له لقاءان من العيار الثقيل إذ يحل ضيفاً على القادسية في الجولة القادمة وفي الجولة الأخيرة سيستضيف العروبة فريق التعاون، فيما ضمن الخليج البقاء في دوري المحترفين وسيلاقي في الجولة القادمة مضيفه النصر وفي الجولة الأخيرة سيواجه الخليج ضيفه الأخدود.

The Al-Khaleej team breathed a sigh of relief after turning a one-goal deficit against their host, Al-Orouba, into a 2-1 victory in the match held at the Al-Jouf University Stadium, as part of the 32nd round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.
The match witnessed a strong start from the home team, Al-Orouba, who earned an early corner kick executed by Cristian Tello, which was headed into the net by Ismail Qandous for Al-Orouba's first goal (2nd minute). Al-Khaleej then took control of the match and earned a penalty kick, which Kostas successfully converted to the right of goalkeeper Koki, who dove for it but was unable to stop it, resulting in the first goal and equalizer for Al-Khaleej (31st minute). In the second half, Al-Khaleej continued to apply pressure, and from a corner taken by Kostas, he passed it to his teammate Pedro Ribeiro, who returned it to Kostas, allowing him to enter the penalty area and strike a powerful ground shot that found the back of the net for his second personal goal and for his team, Al-Khaleej (75th minute). Despite Al-Orouba's attempts to come back into the match, Al-Khaleej's defense held firm, and the match ended with Al-Khaleej winning 2-1.
With this result, Al-Khaleej achieves their 10th victory, reaching 38 points, climbing to 10th place and ensuring their stay in the professional league, while Al-Orouba faced their 20th loss, remaining at 30 points in 16th place and becoming threatened with relegation, especially since they have two tough matches remaining: they will visit Al-Qadisiyah in the next round and host Al-Taawun in the final round. Meanwhile, Al-Khaleej has secured their place in the professional league and will face their host Al-Nassr in the next round, and in the final round, Al-Khaleej will host Al-Akhdoood.
